The Bunkhouse is located .3 miles from the Blackfoot River Brewery and downtown Helena. The extensive trail systems funnel into the Bunkhouse allowing for easy access to 75 miles of single track from the front door. The historic property's character and location makes it an ideal spot to overnight for those visiting our community. Roof top decks make a great spot for morning coffee, meals or cocktails.
We came for a week of mountain biking and that's what we got! The Bunkhouse comes with a very well stocked kitchen, such a treat! Funky place and love the history! We felt very at home. Your town is extremely friendly with great restaurants, shops and all within walking distance from the Bunkhouse. We look forward to coming again!
Although we didn't have a chance to meet the host, the logistics of our stay went smoothly. The bungalow has a unique layout and is well worth the price for the number of people it sleeps. We especially enjoyed the big tub in the first floor bathroom! Our only suggestion is to spray or find a natural way to deal with the stink bugs. There were 50+ on the door/in the entryway area of the bungalow and we found a few in the bathrooms and upstairs bedrooms during our stay. 4/5 stars overall.
What a great house! This older, brick home has been remodeled into a nice getaway. There's plenty of space. We had two adults and one baby, but you could comfortably fit at least 5 adults between the two bedrooms and additional bed in the upstairs hall. There's also a fourth bed and a couch to fit an even larger family. There are two wooden patios to sit on outside with great views of the canyon. The house is within walking distance of downtown, which was great. You can also access Helena's trial system--there are trailheads within walking distance in both directions. The house was clean and well-stocked. The owner left a key for us and even offered to let us stay past check-out because she wasn't expecting anyone. We would definitely stay here again!
The Bunkhouse is walking distance to Helena pedestrian area, Blackfoot Brewery and the delicious bakery next door to it. From a well-stocked kitchen, lovely soaking tub, to extra blankets and laundry facilities, the home was equipped for all our needs. Eliza is helpful, quick to respond and has a library of Helena and Montana history for guests to peruse as well. We enjoyed the property during in-town festivities prior to a family wedding at Seeley Lake.
Great place to stay! Awesome proximity to biking and downtown.
We loved the bunkhouse. It was quirky with all its levels and decks. Definitely comfortable and fun. The location superb. We hiked in the hillside AND walked downtown. No one wanted to leave. It was the perfect place for bocce ball too.
