Outstanding home!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here for about 10 days starting Labor Day and we were quite impressed with the accommodations and just the overall feel of the place and location. The master bedroom is very roomy and comfortable; the kitchen has everything needed to cook meals; and there is plenty of space in this house if you have a family or guests. We used this beautiful log home as a home base to do some scenic motorcycle riding in the area and we were not disappointed. Tom and his wife met us at the house to give us the tour and checked on us once to make sure everything was okay. We really enjoyed our stay and would rent this home again if we travel back to this area. The location was perfect for us and allowed us to travel about the area into Vermont, New York and Connecticut on day trips. This is a 5-star place folks and you will not be disappointed.

Pleasant Get Away HQ

  • 5 of 5

My family of three enjoyed the log home immensely. It's not difficult to forget how easy it can be to travel around the Berkshires region, but this is a great homebase. We enjoyed warm weather and a sudden snow storm. Fun playtime with our five year old and some nice stops in surrounding restaurants. The rooms were comfortable and the amenities were 100% what one might need for a quiet few days of reading and relaxing with the wilderness surrounding you. We'll return in time. Thanks, Tom.

Great time in W. Stockbridge!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at this beautiful log cabin. The owner, Tom, was very accommodating and quick to reply to all of our questions leading up to our stay. He met us upon arrival with a bottle of wine and gave us a quick tour of the cabin. It was perfect in every way and exactly what we expected from the photos. My wife and i were with our two kids (ages two and one) and the in-laws and we all had plenty of space for everyone. Just a few of notes/highlights below...

- Great master suite upstairs with loft that can easily be gated off both upstairs and down below to keep the kids safe.

- Close to everything in the area (skiing, museums, town centers, etc.) but super quiet and tucked away with lots of privacy.

- Fireplace worked great. There were a few logs at the house which Tom kindly offered for us to burn during our stay, but plan on bringing/buying your own wood.

- There was a great library of children's books which the kids loved going through

- Good wifi - which is key b/c cell signals are not terribly reliable in the area

- The sound traveled through the walls a bit between bedrooms, but there were white noise machines in the rooms which we turned on at night making it barely noticeable.

- There was LOTS of snow ahead of our three night stay, and the hilly driveway was plowed perfectly. We had no trouble getting in and out.

Such a great log cabin! Thanks for everything. Hope to return with the family soon.

Peace, Serenity and Fun in the Berkshires!

  • 5 of 5

Whether we travel to the Berkshires with a full compliment of children and grandchildren or just the two of us, our many times at this Log Home in West Stockbridge have left us renewed and refreshed, feeding our hearts and souls with joy and peace.

Impeccably clean and perfectly appointed, one wants for nothing as all your needs are met beyond expectations. Just heading up the driveway is a signal to get ready to simply relax and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you in this part of the country. And then we see the house and know that, once again, we have made the absolute right choice...we feel immediately at home when we open the door!!!

Watching the snow fall in the winter while enjoying morning coffee from the comfort of the great room, or sipping a glass of wine on the porch at dusk in early spring, as you take in the deep quiet, one is filled with an abundance of gratitude just to be here.

If you can bring yourself to leave this wonderful house so much awaits you...Ziplining at Berkshire East, The Clark Museum, The Norman Rockwell Museum, Monument Mountain,Great Barrington, Stockbridge, The Red Lion Inn, The Mount, Arrowhead, Chesterwood, Worthington Hot Air Balloon Rides just to name a few. Wonderful places to enjoy a great dining experiences abound such as Alta in Lennox and Bizen in Great Barrington. Be sure to treat yourself to a Cafe Au Lait and delectable pastries at the Patisserie Lennox right in Great Barrington...and be sure to take a leisurely drive around the area and discover for yourself the many nooks and crannies that offer the most tranquil, yet majestic views.

As Dorothy said...."There is no place like home', and this Log Home is, without doubt, your home away from home! Treat yourself to something special with time will be oh so glad you did!

Great for family or group Get-to-Gether

  • 5 of 5

Our family had the best week in this meticulous, spacious home with every amenity we needed. Great open space between kitchen, dining area and huge living room with two sided fireplace. All we needed in the kitchen for cooking together; great space for movies, playing cards, games ( including family ping pong and bumper pool tournaments) and plenty of spots up and down for anyone to grab a personal corner for reading or quiet time. Great driving between Stockbridge, Lenox, Great Barrington and exploring along the way stopping at every sign for pottery, galleries, etc. Norman Rockwell Museum, Mass Moca, and a step back in time eating having a great family meal at Red Lion Inne. Holiday spirit everywhere even without snow. Best was returning to this fabulous home. The owners are great hosts who are more than willing to give advice/ideas so your time here is memorable - they truly want you to have wonderful memories of your time in their treasure of a log cabin home!
