great lake but this cabin needs work

  • 1 of 5

I usually don't like to leave negative feedbacks, but this house needed a lot of work. Half of the windows had no screens, the gas grill was almost completely rotted out, the fridge took a full day before it was cold enough to keep drinks cold, and the whole house, and property needed a very good cleaning. I know the house is for sale but should still be keep up for rental's.

Owner's Response: Grill parts were replaced. Upon examination of refrigerator, no issues found. Working fine and no other complaints from renters (rented through October). The only thing we can think of which may have happened was perhaps door was left open? No other complaints regarding cleaning services have occurred the entire season. However we are always looking for feedback in this area! Thanks. ~Kellie

Exceeded expectations

  • 5 of 5

The area had a lot to offer with hiking, boating and fishing. The house had everything that we needed for the week that we stayed there and just as pictured online.. Shopping and dining were easily reached by being only a few miles from the house, especially Ninety-Nine restaurant and Belgrade Seafood for lobster rolls and Day's Store for fresh-steamed lobster.. Nighttime breezes along with visits from the loons made for enjoyable evenings. This was our first time staying in the Belgrades region and we will probably be coming back in the future.

Peak rentals are in the summer season with availability limited if you wait to book in early spring. During this peak summary season we prefer to only rent by the week. However we will consider a daily rental request close to the week, if there is anything available.

Please inquire for any other type of pricing (monthly, etc.)

Guests are expected to leave the camp clean, in the same condition as they found it, with any garbage stored in the shed before departing.

September thru November can be the best months on the lake in Maine. The scenery is wonderful for the changing season, the days are warm still, and the fishing, hiking and hunting is great!

We require a booking deposit of 50% to confirm the reservation, with full payment received 15-days prior to arrival. Maine state lodging tax 8% added to rental.
