Ashley Bank is peacefully located near the head of the Ravenstonedale Valley in two acres of wooded grounds with magnificent views of the Howgill Fells. It is the ideal location for family and group of friends for a special holiday or celebration Hen parties and girls reunion weekends are most welcome.5.5miles from Junction38 on the M6 in tranquil surroundings

The areas bounded by the yorkshire Dales,the Pennines and the mountains of the Lake District,and possesses a wealth of interesting locations and offers a wide choice of activities

The area has every kind of outdoor pursuit from fell walking,ponny trecking,cycling,golf and fishing.

Ashley cottage sleeps 12 ; 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.

1 double bedroom ensuite bathroom

2 twin bedrooms with shared bathroom

2 family bedrooms ensuite bathrooms (3 single beds in each bedroom)

Beechtree cottage sleeps two ,1 double bedroom ensuite bathroom plus there is a double bed settee in the lounge.

Ashley cottage and Beechtree cottage sleep total of 14/16 persons

Ashley Cottage is spacious and sleeps 12 persons and adjoins 3/4 of an acre of lawn and orchard with a covered patio and BBQ area- an ideal play area for children and adults .and to enjoy a picnic and relax with a glass of wine

The accommodation comprises of the following:

There are a total of five bedrooms and four bathrooms in Ashley Cottage. One double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, two twin bedrooms with shared bathroom and two family bedrooms with three single beds in each room, and ensuite bathrooms.

Beechtree cottage one double bedroom en suite bathroom and a double bed settee in the lounge.

Two cots and three high chairs available ,the children can enjoy playing indoors ,there are toy boxes for all ages and a dressing up box ,cricket bats ,volley ball and table tennis.and foot balls for outdoor games also childrens play area with swings and slides.

The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a 6 burner gas cooker and oven, fridge freezer , microwave oven , dishwasher ,toaster, electric kettle and a selection of large and medium sized pots and pans .Cutlery and crockery and kitchen utensil.

washing liquid and dishwasher powder available.

There is a seperate laundry room., washing machine and dryer also space for drying boots and coats .

The large dining room seats 14/16 comfortably,its great for all the family or friends to enjoy a meal together. table linen available for special occasions.3 high chairs available for the children.

The lovely sitting room is very cozy ,there is a cast iron gas burning stove, music centre, Sky ,T.V, DVD and video ,.A selection of videos and DVDs ,a big selection of books and magazines .

A large selection of tourist information pamphlets ,maps and information about walks in the area and the Lakes

WIFI is available at Ashley cottage

Full Gas central heating throughout.

3/4 acre of lawn and garden with a covered patio and BBQ area. The garden is ideal for adults and children to enjoy outdoor games and the swings and slides are a hit with the children.

Parking place for up to 7 cars.

Stunning Cottage, gorgeous location!

Booked the cottage for my 30th with a group of friends. Had such a lovely weekend, spent most of the weekend enjoying the beautiful gardens and stunning views!

Had everything we needed, beds were extremely comfortable and Nazig and Iain were friendly and accomodating.

Would highly recommend!

Beautiful cottage - great for big groups

We stayed here for 3 nights. It has everything you need. Good location, plenty of space, has all the facilities you need, and very well maintained.

The garden is massive and great for the children and dog to play and run around.

We had a fantastic time, would definitely recommend.

Surprise 40th Birthday with friends

What can I say other than fantastic, what a place, what beautiful surroundings and what friendly owners. I booked this as a surprise 40th Birthday for my husband, with 4 other close friends families coming too. The children aged from 3 - 12 and there was lots for them to do with the play park, huge garden area, DVDs etc. We also took some rounders kit and paddling pools. They were all safe to play around and we didn't have to worry about them wandering off so we could all relax with good food, drinks and music. The outside BBQ area was wonderful and we spent very little time indoors (which was also very well equipped). The laundry room was fab with washer and big American dryer, also plenty of line space for outdoor drying. Iain and Nazig were fab hosts who were present if you needed anything but not imposing.

We have all said it was the perfect getaway and would like to make it an annual treat!!!

A definite recommend.

Lovely relaxed stay in idyllic setting.

Lovely, spacious well-maintained property with plenty of 'home comforts' and cosy throughout. Everything we needed was there- dishwasher, kettle, extensive kitchen equipment, BBQ, TV, DVD (and VHS!) player, Sky box, books, DVD's, toy box, etc... The garden was fantastic - big grassy area which both the children and dog thoroughly enjoyed - with spectacular views. Owner gave fantastic customer service, would thoroughly recommend.

Lovely cottages in a beautiful location.

Rented both cottages for the weekend and could not be happier. Very good layout with plenty of equipment for groups of friends or families, I went with friends mountain biking but it's perfect for kids really with games, fancy dress, videos and very large garden. Loads of room for parking just couldn't fault it really and having compared it to similar places online it's also very good value owned by a lovely couple who are a delight to deal with.

Deposit. A deposit of 25% is required. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to the start of the holiday.
We also require a surety deposit of £100 refundable if there is no damage to contents or property
Bookings made within 8 weeks prior to your arrival require immediate and full payment of the holiday cost.
Arrival & Departure. The cottage will be ready anytime after 3pm on the day of arrival. For short breaks an earlier time might be possible.
Guests are required to vacate the property by 11am and the cottage is ready for letting after 3pm.
weekends friday/sunday arrival time anytime after 3pm and departure on sunday 10/11am


Rental rates include electricity, central heating and bed linen, hand towels in bathrooms. We do not provide bath towels.

Due to the close proximity of sheep farms in the area we are unable to accommodate pets.
The cottage is non smokingbut there are seats and ash bins outside under cove
We require a surety deposit of £100 refundable if there is no damage to contents or property.This is paid with the final balance. and will be refunded if everything is left in order few days after departure.
