Mariners Cottage offers comfortable accommodation with a warm and welcoming atmosphere providing an ideal holiday retreat at any time of the year. Open fires in the lounge and sitting room and a wood burning stove in the dining room make it super cosy! The cottage boasts an enclosed rear garden with views down towards the creek, which is a real sun trap and a lovely place to relax in fine weather. The cottage has plenty of maritime history and this can be seen throughout the property, giving it a very nautical theme.
The creekside walks from Mylor are idyllic. You can reach the famous Pandora Inn on Restronguet Creek within about a 15 minute walk or in the other direction there is a lovely walk along the creek towards Mylor Yacht Harbour. Here you will find two waterside restaurants, a cafe, along with two sailing schools, boat, canoe and bike hire. Just 4 miles from the cottage is the famous harbour town of Falmouth with its golden sandy beaches, waterside shops and galleries, along with the National Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle. The cathedral city of Truro is just 20 minutes away and has a fantastic range of shops and good supermarkets.
Ground Floor: Entrance hall leading to two sitting rooms and a family breakfast room, opening out onto a private courtyard. There is a small galley kitchen.
First Floor: One double bedroom with 4'6" bed followed by a twin bedroom and a single bedroom. There is a separate family bathroom with roll top bath, shower & WC.
Exterior: Courtyard leading into enclosed garden with glimpses of the creek.
Facilities & Services
Heating is via central heating, the open fires & wood burning stove. The kitchen has a range of equipment, but it is does have limited space for preparing extensive meals. There is an electric oven and hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The sitting room area has a flat screen digital TV & DVD player. There is an iron & ironing board.
Electricity, heating, bed linen & towels are all included but you will need to provide your own beach towels. Strictly no smoking is allowed at the property. Up to two dogs are permitted at the additional charge of £30 per dog per week. There is no dedicated parking space, but on street parking is available nearby and you can stop relatively close to the property to unload. There is a cot & high chair available upon request.
