'Egrets Reach' is a recently renovated holiday home ideal for all to experience the wonderful seaside and countryside within The South Hams Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Situated just outside the boundary of the picturesque village of Malborough the house has far reaching countryside vistas and views of the Kingsbridge/Salcombe estuary. Egrets Reach is close to the local shops, village post office and pubs and only a 2 minute drive to Salcombe ( 20 minutes easy cycling along a safe cyclepath to Salcombe) famous for it's golden beaches, turquoise water,dinghy sailing,yachting, pubs, art galleries and designer shops,ice cream, outstanding cuisine and a newly opened Gin distillery. Within easy driving distance from the property there are activities to entertain all ages: Thurlestone, Bigbury and Dartmouth Golf Clubs, Overbecks National Trust house and gardens, birdwatching, deep sea diving, coastal and country walking, clay pigeon shooting,or just sitting on the beach. Dartmoor National Park,the cities of Plymouth and Exeter and major attractions such as Woodlands Adventure Park,The Eden Project, Crealy Adventure Park, Morwellham Quay and all the wonderful National Trust properties in Devon and Cornwall are on the doorstep.

The property is luxurious and comfortable with new central heating, a wood burner and flatscreen TV for the cosy evenings and a sunny outside patio and garden with a BBQ for summer afternoons and evenings relaxing. there is covered and lit well which lends atmosphere at night. there is a driveway with parking and turning area. Well behaved pets are welcome & the property is fenced to keep everything and everyone safe and secure. Wifi available throughout. Guests will be welcomed on arrival and help should it be required will be on hand during your stay.

Attention has been made to every detail and bedding and towels and all fixtures are of high quality. the entrance porch has baskets for dirty shoes and umbrellas and leads into the hall way with a brand new modern fully equipped kitchen to the left. There is a large table and 6 dining chairs so the whole family can relax over meals.Off the back of the kitchen is the back porch with a door to the brand new walk in shower/cloak room, there is also the orginal pantry which has been kept for food storage and houses the microwave. An understairs cupboard houses the ironing board, iron, brush and mop and bucket. also a high chair, travel cot and fire guard. To the right of the front door is a cosy sitting room with settees and chairs to seat 6 comfortably.This room is warmly decorated and has windows to the front and rear of the house making it light and bright at all times.The wood burner is available to use through the colder months and dogs are welcome to warm themselves in front of it after a long winter walk. there is a 42 " flat screen TV with a Talk Talk digibox. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, the master room known as the New England is furnished in navy blue white and ochre and has a king size bed, fitted wardrobe, dressing table with mirror and Lloyd loom chair and 5 drawer dresser plus a wicker basket for shoes This room has dual aspect windows with estuary views from the front. The original iron fireplace has been restored and adds a wonderful touch. The double bedded room "The Old Fashioned" is soft green and white with a country feel, it has a built in wardrobe with hanging space and shelving, bedside tables with shelves, a mirror and shelf and estuary views from the bed. The twin room " The Beach Huts" with its day long sunshine is decorated in cheerful red, white and blue and has views to the church spire. All rooms are double glazed, centrally heated and have coordinating lampshades, bedding,bedside lights, plush carpet and cushions. The main bathroom has a sink, toilet and full sized bath with a " proper" shower powered by the heating system, a heated towel rail and a double glazed window keeps it warm. A cupboard provides shelving space for toiletries and there is a locked owners cupboard.

Good location, immaculate and comfy house.

We spent new year in Malborough, arrived in gales to a cosy and warm house with treats awaiting us! The beds were comfy, everything was spotless. The location is very close to Salcombe and Hope Cove but withought the nightmare of parking problems.

2 pubs in walking distance, we tried the Old Inn which was lovely.

Thanks to both of you Josh & Rachel for making our new year comfortable.

Not going to mention the was challenging!

Warm and cosy house in great position for exploring the South Hams

A well presented, warm and cosy house in a great location. Very well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

We managed some walks from the house (although you do have a section on the road before hitting footpaths) and we also explored the many gorgeous beaches and coves nearby.

We had no problems during our stay but had very good communication from the owner.

Lovely house in a central location within Devon’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

A lovely 3 bed 2 bath property in Malborough within easy reach by car to Salcombe and all the coastal walks within AONB. The kitchen is very well equipped and the beds very comfortable. The living room has plenty of seating and there is a nice lawn out front. There is ample parking with a turning circle which is great as the property is on the main road. We had a really enjoyable stay here and would thoroughly recommend. If I were to nitpick, the downstairs shower is not very powerful and difficult to get to the right temperature so is less useful than you might think. Also it would have been great if there was a walk to be had straight out of the door without having to get into the car. The proximity to local shops and pubs and the charm of the property more than make up for this however. Overall a great stay and would definitely return.

Beautiful Property and good base location for exploring Salcombe and other towns and beaches

Property is beautifully finished, and well equipped. The house is a good location for visiting Salcombe and for exploring other nearby towns and beaches.

Josh the landlord was very helpful and communication and check in details very clear and easy.
