We are Marilyn and Carlyle Reynolds from Atlanta, GA. We have been coming to the Emerald Coast twice a year for 8 years now and find it to be the best place to get away and recharge. Clean & quiet

We enjoyed how quiet the area was & we rarely saw other people so that was very nice. We also enjoyed the pool & lounge chairs around the pool area.

The house was clean but the master bed mattress was not very comfortable & pillows need to be changed but overall it was ver clean & we enjoyed our stay.

Value, convenience, tranquility.

We had a nice time at the condo in the Village at Blue Mountain. 30A is a great area, and this condo is a short drive or bike ride to everything. The condo is probably best suited for a family of 4 or 5, but could still accommodate 6 or so. We found the condo to meet nearly every need when it came to things like kitchen items, a large TV in the living room, a nice sitting area on the front porch, along with a community pool a stone's throw from the front door. We made use of the bike rack, and the shuffle boards. We found 3 nice beach accesses that were within a short bike ride, and even shorter drive. (We used bikes do to the parking issues on the days we got out late.) The neighborhood was a great place to ride bikes, and there's a bike trail at the entrance. The owners ensured check-in was as simple as possible, and have obviously done their best to make the place comfortable for their guests. This is not an extravagant vacation home, it's simply a nice, safe, comfortable place to enjoy a peaceful vacation. We would certainly consider renting this condo again.

A helpful note for potential renters, the kitchen is a bit small, but we were still able to cook several large meals with a little teamwork and working around each other. Take advantage of the free concerts, movies, & fireworks in places like Seaside, Baytowne Wharf, etc. Arrive to your destination early to avoid traffic and find a parking spot. Remember to bring extra household items, such as laundry detergent, and cascade. I know I'm forgetting details, but I hope this helps.

Great location, great property, great vacation

We loved our stay at this property — the condo was well-appointed and the remodeling was beautiful. The gated community the condo is a part of is great, too. The pool was perfect for us, and an easy walk from the condo. The property is about a mile or so from the nearest public beach (Blue Mountain Beach), and you need to drive if you don't have bicycles, probably. We never had trouble finding parking, though. The owners of the condo provided boogie boards and sand toys for use, as well as an umbrella. All you need to bring is the chairs and you're set for a day at the beach. There are plenty of nice restaurants within just a few minutes' drive on 30A so in all, the location is great, too.

Other reviews seemed to indicate the kitchen was not well-stocked, though in our experience the kitchen was in fact quite well-stocked after all. We had everything we could have wanted for a great vacation (including, against another negative review, a blender!). Further, the owners were prompt, courteous, and helpful in their interactions before, during, and after our stay.

The only minor nitpicks I would have are that there are no carpets or rugs on the floors anywhere in the condo, and by the end of the week you will inevitably feel like there's sand everywhere (we vacuumed every day and it still felt this way). As well, the master bed is a queen and not a king, which we would have preferred for a vacation rental. But again, these are extremely minor points and in no way detract from our 5-star rating.

We would happily return to this condo over and over again — we loved our stay and highly recommend this rental property to any and all.

Three generations

Over all the condo was great for a nice relaxing visit. It's an end downstairs unit, perfect for our older folks, and it's just steps away from the pool. We really enjoyed the pool in the evenings when the sun was not sooooooooo hot. The distance to the public beach access is a nice walk for the younger generation, but for the older crowd it required a little ride in the car. The beach was beautiful, but had a little seaweed in the surf most of the days. We really enjoyed our trip to Morrison Springs and Ponce De Leon. The youngest couple even went hiking in Grayton state park and saw some deer. We cooked several meals at the condo and grilled on the public pit once...the kitchen was furnished but could use a few more cereal bowls, mixing bowls and some tongs for the grill. Knowing they did not have a blender I brought my own small one, but a few days after check in the head house keeper showed up at the door with a family size blender which made for a wonderful pitcher of frozen beach beverages! We enjoyed a meal at the Perfect Pig and an early supper with great happy hour prices from 4-6pm at Goatfeather's. It's a very nice area if you're trying to stay away from the chaos of Destin, but would still like to go there once or twice to enjoy some of the attractions there. Also Mirimar beaches were nice and hardly had any seaweed.

Definitely a place I would return to, and recommend to family and friends! A quaint condo with all of the necessities plus a nice front porch to enjoy coffee and wine on, Oh and since we were three couples it was a plus that every bedroom had a queen bed!

Lovely family vacation!

We truly enjoyed our stay at this remodeled beach condo. It was very clean, the beds were very comfortable. The easy entry with code was very convenient, no driving to a central office to get the keys! The ground floor access was very convenient, especially for my Mother in law who has knee issues. The unit was on the end and very quiet, never heard any loud noise from our neighbors. The pool is right down the street, very close! Some of us adults did the walk to the beach, but I felt it was a little too far for a 4 year old to walk, especially after a full day enjoying the beautiful beach, so we drove most of the time. It was no big deal, and we always found a parking spot. I will say that the Blue Mountain Beach access has a few flights of stairs over the dunes, down to the beach, that proved to be a hardship for my MIL with knee problems. But there was another beach access close by that also had a ramp that was easier for her to access. You turn right onto 30A, and make a left at the first 4 way stop, right into the public beach access parking lot, about a mile from the condo. I loved the atmosphere of this active, low key, beach town! Lots of paths for walking/biking/running! No big high rise condos! Plenty of accommodations to any needs in the immediate area. My husband developed an issue with his back at the beginning of our stay, but a massage therapist and chiropractor had him feeling much better, all in the Blue Mountain Beach area off 30A. Publix was very close for groceries, as well as a Wal-mart. We enjoyed the Blue Mountain creamery several times, and loved the fish tacos at Goatfeathers! We had a wonderful family vacation! Would definitely stay at this condo again. The kitchen was very stocked for our needs, but there was not a blender or a crock-pot, so you might want to bring those things with you if you use them! The washer and dryer in the unit was so very convenient, we didn't have to go home from vacation with tons of laundry to do! The front porch has a patio set that we all enjoyed, whether for morning coffee or dinnertime! There was a beach umbrella in the unit that we used a couple of days on the beach, that was a nice touch! We liked that the community was gated, a little extra security! We had no issues during our stay, and the WiFi access was convenient. Loved our time in this area, and greatly enjoyed the beautiful beaches!!!!
