About the property

This holiday home is a bright one-bedroom apartment on the ground floor of a traditional building on the historic Royal Mile in the centre of Edinburgh. The apartment is within easy walking distance of the major tourist attractions, festival venues, shops, nightlife and transport connections.

With double windows, the living room is light and looks out on the historic Canongate. The sofa converts in to a sofabed, and there is a TV with freeview. This apartment has a double bed in the bedroom and a sofabed in the living room; it is best suited to 1-3 adults, or to 1-2 adults plus 1 child or 2 small children.

The modern kitchen is well provided with crockery, cutlery, glasses and kitchenware, as well as a washing machine with tumble dryer, fridge, cooker and microwave. There is a shower room (no bathtub).

The apartment has gas central heating. The price of gas, electricity and local taxes is included. For the comfort of future guests, the apartment is non-smoking and pets are not allowed.

Hosts were great, very responsive. Property was very clean and perfect for our needs for the week. The kitchen was very well equipped, would have really liked a coffee maker :( though. The apartment is situated on the Royal Mile right across from Holyrood Palace. We walked everywhere - approximately a 15 minute walk to the centre (North/South Bridge) area.

Good to know that you enjoyed walking around the city: Edinburgh is a compact city and most of the major sights are withing walking distance. There are also good bus services available from the Royal Mile, including the open-top bus tour with a bus top just a few metres from the apartment door.

Fantastic rental unit at foot of Royal Mile

This is a darling of a place to call your home-away-from-home while visiting Edinburgh. It is very clean, fully equipped and only up a few stairs (for those with loaded suitcases). The owners were very responsive to work with during booking and settling in. It is ideal for a couple or for those who need two sleeping areas as it has a handy pull-out couch (don't think it would hold 2 people on the couch tho'). It is all modernized and one can look out the window and see the Scottish Parliament buildings across, and Holyrood Palace at the end of the street. We truly enjoyed our visit here and would high recommend it. While there aren't a lot of pubs or eating places really, really close, it's always a joy to walk up the Royal Mile and surroundings to find a cozy pub or restaurant - which are within a 10-15 minute walk. And...it's all "downhill" literally walking back. Suggest nearby World's End as a cozy pub and Tollbooth Tavern.

great Stay

A perfect location. at the end of the Royal Mile, across from the Parliament and the Holyrood palace, the park where we hiked to Aurthors seat and five minutes from the Train station. The flat was clean, very comfortable and easy to take care of. Would use it again.
