The bungalow was rebuilt using all eco-friendly materials and finishes. We use non toxic cleaning and laundry products. Everything is done with an eye to sensitivity and comfort. When you arrive, there will be no chemical bleach smell, no laundry “fresh scent”. We use eco friendly allergy free light lavender essential oil laundry soap.

North of Montana in Santa Monica is one of the most desirable locations in all of LA county, and real estate prices here reflect that. Stay in our bungalow and live like a movie star during your stay! Walk the picturesque tree-line streets on your way to the beach. This is a place for walking, biking, enjoying the amazing weather and looking at the homes and gardens. Dream of a pickup ball game or start one yourselves!
I booked this unit for a client that wanted to be in the Santa Monica area and they loved it! Great place, cleaned and the bikes were a hit with them. Ample street parking was available during their stay and central to many LA area activities. The owner was great to work with and very responsive to any communications.
We booked this bungalow for a few days in early August while our son was at UCLA. The location was just perfect: it was only 10 minutes from UCLA on city streets, and it's on a major street in a residential area. Businesses are a few blocks away, but far away enough you don't get commercial traffic and noise. We were able to walk to the Santa Monica beach and pier -- though it was far enough if it had only been 2 of us, we would have requested use of the bikes. We were also within 1/2 hour of everything else we wanted to see in Burbank and west LA. When I asked Kiki where our daughter would sleep, she said she'd set up a queen size air bed and she'll "feel like a princess" -- and she did! The living room/common area of the bungalow felt huge and there was room for the airbed as well as plenty of room to sit comfortably and move about. The bedroom gave us privacy and there was a locking closet into which we could put valuables when we went out.
The house can get hot and stuffy during the day, and it took a while for the fans to cool things down. There is a large ceiling fan in the bedroom, and we had a powerful fan in the living room. But we were more comfortable when we (finally) found the third fan in the closet. There is no TV, but there is a large screen to which you can hook up your laptop or game system if you want screen time. The free wifi was fast and reliable.
There's a little yard in the back where we liked to sit and read in the evening; there's a coin laundry and a vacuum cleaner you can use back there, too. The furniture was just right for us, and the gas stove and dishwasher, as well as the bathroom are new and modern. And, yes, it was really nice to be able to make our own meals (though there was also a flyer for a nearby business that will delivery until 4 am.) The house was cheery and sunny, but far away from the street that there wasn't any artificial light disturbing us at night. It was just right for our little family.
