Stay at the quietest retreat in Boulder and still be an easy 10 minute walk from downtown. The mountains are out your back door; Pearl Street with hundreds of shops and restaurants is stroll away. Whether you want a walk in the foothills, a quiet afternoon in your private garden or a night on the town Siesta is the perfect vacation home.

Please note: Because of a recent change in Boulder's housing regulations we are only offering Siesta for rentals of 30 days or longer.

Newly remodeled, freshly painted, exquisitely decorated, private hideaway. As you can see from the photos Siesta has been completely remodeled. We have sound proofed all the living spaces, Siesta has all new paint, with solid core paneled doors, new living room cork floor, and custom light fixtures including all LED bulbs and dimmers for energy conservation! Two bedrooms, one and a half baths, full kitchen with automatic dishwasher, onsite laundry, and cable TV. Out the back door is a beautiful flower garden and 585 square foot patio and outdoor furniture.

Welcome to Boulder, Colorado...everything you want from a city, yet it feels like a small town; world-class restaurants and shops, a major university, an abundance of cultural events, year-round outdoor activities and lots of music from around the globe.

Minutes from downtown Boulder, walking distance to excellent coffee and tea houses, restaurants, bakery, shopping, well equipped grocery store, trails and more. Our artist’s home is located within a quiet, historic residential district known as Mapleton Hill. Siesta - our sunny and light, very private apartment has a separate entrance. Our 950 sq. ft. apartment is colorful, eclectically furnished, with locally controlled hot water baseboard heating, lots of light, electric stove, custom trim, living room/dining room, updated kitchen, and new cork and tile living room floor.

Siesta is one block away from the foothills of the Rockies with great hiking trails. The continental divide only a thirty-minute drive away. We are a 30 minute drive to Denver; 30 minute drive to Eldora Ski Resort, and a 60 minute drive to Rocky Mountain National Park. Loveland, Winter Park, Breckenridge and Vail ski areas are 90 minutes to 2 hours away.

Boulder has year-round sunshine. The winter season usually brings brief snow storms followed by beautiful sunny days. It's not uncommon to have warm weather in the high 60s-70s in February and March. Late spring and summer offers warm days, wonderful thunderstorms and few airborne pests. Falls are warm with cool nights and some of the most amazing displays of light and color.

Well behaved dogs are welcome.

Inspections and Safety:

There have been legitimate concerns raised in the national and international media about the safety and lack of regulation of short-term rentals. Rest assured that:

Siesta is up to date in all required inspections (per City of Boulder rental license regulations);

has a current rental license (see: http://gisweb.bouldercolorado.gov/agswebsites/pds/rentalinquiry/ - any property with a color-coding has an up to date rental license);

has commercial property insurance from CBIZ that covers short-term rentals;

and Siesta includes functioning carbon monoxide and smoke detectors as well as fire extinguishers.

In addition, each bedroom has City of Boulder approved egress windows and two door exits, in the unlikely event of a fire.

About Tad Kline

The three partners are longtime Boulder residents - a therapist & artist, a body worker and musician, and a retired jack of all trades turned semi-pro photographer and documentarian. We three came to Boulder more than three decades ago from far flung beginnings in California, Colombia and Wyoming. Among the 3 partners, we have 3 daughters and count ourselves lucky that they are each grown, educated, employed and living in the area. Sometimes Bruce and Tad play music together; when she isn't working as a therapist Marcela is making art. We love hiking, biking, exploring and chilling in Boulder and the Rockies.

Fantastic base camp

Lovely property set in a beautiful historic district. It is 5 min walk to the Mt. Salinas trail (if you sneak in behind the Sports Med center) and about 15 min downtown. We loved walking to Pearl street and gawking at the beautiful homes. The property is all nicely updated - great patio very quiet.

Will look to do it again

I was not disappointed at all with this stay at the Siesta. Two rooms and bathrooms, good kitchen setup and a nice little courtyard to enjoy the cool mornings. Walking out of the place brought you a nice view and short walk to Mt. Sanitas, and about a 15 min walk to Pearl St. Will try and use this place again in future trips to Boulder.
