Loch side holiday home with stunning views

Bedrooms 2
Property type house
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

Walk, run, swim, sail, play…Chill! 16 Munros – named after the 16 Munros quite literally on our doorstep - is an oasis of contemporary calm set right on Loch Tay with its very own shared jetty.

Luxuriously specified, this property has been beautifully decorated and furnished – chill by the wood burning stove, relax on the balcony overlooking Loch Tay with a drink in hand or get after some leisure activity; you choose! Book your dream Scottish holiday here.

Please look at our website which has links to loads of activities, dining and local shopping www.16munros.co.uk

Located in the village of Fearnan a mere three miles from picturesque Kenmore, 16 Munros is set in a luxurious setting of waterside homes known as Shoreside adjacent to the stunning Loch Tay.

Set well back from the quiet A827 road, our home has every modern luxury available and is set out for peace and calm to wash over you during your stay. From fluffy bathroom towels to lifejackets our home has it all waiting for you to enjoy – and of course 16 Munros for a bagging on our doorstep.

BEDROOMS (Sleeps 4) - downstairs

We have two beautiful bedrooms with one en-suite and another with full bath and shower room adjacent to it… The en-suite is a super king size bed while the second bedroom can be configured either as a super king sized bed or two extra long twin beds.

All linen is of exceptional and luxurious quality with towels, bedding and everything you need as part of your holiday package.

BATHROOMS - downstairs

The en-suite is a large, bright and airy shower room. The separate bathroom – used by bedroom two and for all guests – is a very large full bathroom with bath and separate shower.

16 Munros is an ‘upside down’ house with bedrooms on the ground floor and living space all on the upper floor maximising the wonderful views over Loch Tay.

The entire upper floor is open plan maximising your time together with distinct dining, lounging and kitchen areas…When the weather permits breakfast on the balcony is an absolute must as dawn rises on another beautiful day on Tayside. All furniture and art works are to an exceptional standard and if you ever get bored – we doubt it – there is a decent DVD library and access to Freeview on the 50 inch LG television. And yes the house is fully wi-fi’d up!

Our home is located in a quiet village on a luxury development of waterside homes known as Shoreside. The house benefits from a great deal of shared access green space as well as a shared ‘beach’ (think shingly/rocky, not Barbados sand) and a Jetty where mooring is possible for small boats and dingy’s.

And you have access to our swimming pool – its 14.5 miles long and 490ft deep; the beautiful Loch Tay…

In addition we have a storage unit which contains a variety of outdoor equipment available free for your use but at your own liability. Available are two bikes (no helmets), life jackets, paddles and a few more bits and pieces to come…The paddles are for? We will let you know when you book up!

Anything and everything. This is probably the outdoor capital of Scotland and Kenmore – just 3 miles down the road – has just about every conceivable outdoor equipment available for hire from bikes to boats, fine dining, pub grub and the outrageously fun, HotBox - a giant sauna with access to the Loch; get hot, cool down, grab a drink (£10 per person per usage).

Behind Shoreside is the Ben Lawers and Schiehallion area home to 16 Munros and 6 Corbetts, enough to keep the outdoor enthusiast busy for weeks.

But if theatre or the cinema is your thing, Aberfeldy, a short 9 miles from Shoreside, houses the beautiful art deco Birks Cinema as well as numerous restaurants and coffee shops. A little further afield Pitlochry houses the famous Pitlochry Festival Theatre for all your cultural needs. Oh and don’t forget Whiskey Distilleries abound in this area for those keen on a dram…

Loch side holiday home with stunning views
average rating of 5.0 based on 12 reviews

Breathtaking position with views to lose yourself in. Home is high spec, gorgeous interior design.

Would highly recommend to all to come to experience this property, it has THE most breathtaking location overlooking Loch Tay.

The complimentaryt tea & caramel shortbread was devoured. Lovely welcome indeed. Having the Nespresso machine was a home from home touch we liked too.

Spotlessly clean throughout. Loved the wood burning stove, as it kept us extra cosy with wintry weather throughout our stay. The artwork is apt & well chosen for this property.

The fluffy towels, he toiletries, the high spec of everything made our stay luxurious.

We loved having owners recommended places to eat & visit & worked our way through the list, all great!

Our stay here was so wonderful we are now looking at similar properties nearby to move to! It has so much outdoor adventures on its doorstep, that we would like this 365 days of the year!

Thank you,

Stephanie & Alistair ❤️

Absolutely beautiful loch side house.

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four were lucky enough to have a wonderful four night break in this gorgeous 'upside down' house. Everything in the house is of fantastic quality - from the pans to the towels to the beds (which were the most comfortable in any holiday rental we have stayed in).

Even in late October we managed to make use of the kayaks and paddleboards - great fun and a wonderful added extra to this great holiday home.

The house is located is an excellent position with lots to do in the local area.

A highly recommend holiday home. Thank you to Jane and Ewan for creating such a luxurious yet homely and cosy retreat.

Fabulous property in amazing location

  • 5 of 5

Everything about our stay at '16 Munroes ' was perfect 👌?.

The house is very new , beautifully furnished and in a stunning location with amazing views .

Every little detail has been thought of , from luxury towels and bedding (White Company) to DVD and board games library and a Nespresso machine .

Each bedroom has a dressing table and is beautifully furnished with plenty of wardrobe space .

Shoe rack by the door , great idea !

We did venture out to Aberfeldy (great co op near garage ) fabulous independent deli's and coffee shops , Pitlochry not too far and the Kenmore hotel has a beautiful riverside restaurant and gardens so whatever the weather you can still have an amazing view .

The icing on the cake was the view towards the Loch from the house , four seasons in one day (every day) sums up our trip , and to sit watching the weather coming in and hearing the waves was so relaxing and 'away from it all ' .

This is the first holiday let we have used where we didn't have to clean anything on arrival which made such a difference.

This is a definite 'find ' and we firmly recommend it .

Amazing views

  • 5 of 5

We had a great holiday. The house is very comfortable (with everything we needed, loads of space for everyone to chill and close to loads of things to see and do) and the location couldn't be better. The views over the loch and mountains are amazing and the access to the loch made kayaking easy. The whole area is wonderfully beautiful: there are trails for walking, places to just hang out and admire the scenery and great restaurants to indulge in Scottish cuisine. We wholeheartedly recommend this house for a great holiday.

Car: recommended

16 Munros is located in the small loch side development called Shoreside which sits by the village of Fearnan. The larger village of Kenmore is only 3 miles away with the town of Aberfeldy around 10 miles away.
