What North Hero lacks in hustle and bustle, it makes up for in natural beauty. North Hero State Park boasts 400 acres of tranquil flora and fauna, and Pelot's Point Wildlife Area or Knight Point State Park feature hiking and walking trails where guests of the island can fully absorb its splendor. Beautiful home with a great view of Lake Champlain
We really enjoyed our stay at this home. The house is lovely with a huge yard, great for playing ball and games with the kids. Great grill and huge deck with a view of the lake. There are two amazing rain shower heads in the bathroom showers that were awesome! There are several state parks close by with beaches that we enjoyed. Sand Bar beach was our favorite. The only downside is when we were there it was very hot and there is no a/c in the house. It was uncomfortable, especially at night for sleeping. However, we knew beforehand there was no a/c and decided that maybe it would be OK. It so happened that it was unusually hot during that week. We enjoyed several games of pool and ping pong in the basement which was a big hit. Overall, it was a great experience. The house was VERY clean which was important to us.

Home Away from Home
The house was great! Lots of property to have the kids play outside, volley ball, soccer and just running off energy. The water.....seemed to be okay for 7 yr. old, and good for adults and teenagers to kayak (after we rented two from Hero's Welcome). Bedrooms and bathrooms were great! Downside.....swimming for adults not good and no air conditioning and it was hot hot hot!!!! Nighttime was cool.....beds were very comfortable. Don't think we will rent this property again because we really needed air conditioning!

Very peaceful
House was great, very large, with pool table, ping pong table, sauna, and lots of lovely global art. The view is so peaceful and wonderful. The town is very small, I suggest bringing plenty of your own food. Water levels were low this year, wouldn’t suggest going into the lake at the house, but nice beach at Alburg State Park close by. The email said bring sheets, but the beds were made already. We had a great time.

Nice deck, view and lots of open space
Nice place. Common space was ample. Not quite enough bedroom space for our large party. The picnic table/outdoor seating could use upgrading. We couldn’t swim because the water level was too low. Otherwise, no complaints.

Great House Overall -- Beautiful Views
We enjoyed our stay very much. The common spaces of kitchen, dining room, and living room are very nice with great views of the lake. A quiet spot fairly secluded from neighbors and no road noise. The kitchen is very well equipped and the first floor shower is awesome. We did several bike rides from here and had a very nice time. Our only drawback is the bedrooms upstairs which were quite dark, with small windows and dark walls. The beds were not as advertised as one bedroom had a queen and the other had a double bed. There was no room with twin beds. The bedroom in the basement is in unfinished space with no bathroom and not very desirable as a place to sleep.
