Sitting in a remote location on a sparsely-populated island, you'll find peace and serenity among forests and over 200 miles of coastline. Still, all the essentials can be found a short distance away in the small town of South Hero.
The home itself is cozy with a bright and rustic design. In the main room, you'll find comfy furniture, a wood-burning fireplace, board games, and a flatscreen TV with a DVD player (cable and WiFi included). A sunny dining table will fit six for a meal by the window, and a piano nearby is ready to be played by the musician in your group. An open, fully equipped kitchen provides plenty of counter space and all you need to make your favorite dishes, plus a dishwasher for easy clean-up.
Outside, you'll enjoy a pleasant deck overlooking the lake with patio furniture and a firepit at the corner. Lounge chairs are prime for watching a sunset with your feet in the luscious lawn, and there's plenty of space for lawn games if you plan ahead. A flight of metal stairs leads down to the private dock for swimming and fishing.

Two rooms with lake views will each sleep a small family - one with a wide twin-size canopy bed and a twin-size trundle, and the other with a queen bed and two twins (one is a trundle). The third room features two full-size futons, and the fourth has a double bed. There's a full bath on each floor, and pillows and blankets are provided (though do bring your own linens and towels please, as they are not provided).

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
The house was is perfect shape, and the views to the lake, especially from the upstairs bedroom are spectacular. The instructions on running the house were very helpful, for example it was very easy to connect to the wifi. Our second night in the house witnessed a great windstorm which, while quite entertaining, clogged the water filter which meant the house was without running water! We called the contact number and they were fantastic. Within a half hour the caretaker was working on the problem, and within an hour the problem was fixed. All in all it was a wonderful visit and I would highly recommend the house. The only thing I would ask for is instructions on how to work the wood stove!
A handful of guests joined us for my brother's bachelor party. Since he graduated from St. Mikes, we thought northern Vermont would be a great nostalgic location. He clearly had a great time and the spectacular view from the deck, complete with Fire pit made the weekend memorable. Well done!
The location was fantastic, we had a lot of fun swimming in the lake, jumping off the dock, and building a fire near the outdoor deck. Despite some minor issues (propane tank empty on arrival) it was a great holiday house. I would recommend bug spray for sitting outside at night. The lake is beautiful and you can see so many stars out on Grand Isle, away from the big cities. Wonderful place to relax and enjoy.
Lovely view! Great house to gather in and enjoy the large kitchen.
An absolutely perfect, secluded spot on the lake with incredible sunsets.
We had a great time at the house. Very clean, amazing views, amazing deck over the lake. Everything we needed in a cottage, from the Adirondack chairs to the Weber grill to the wonderful selection of board games and books. On top of that the weather was perfect. We will definitely be back. A truly perfect couple of nights on Lake Champlain. Gorgeous views and skies. Very memorable. Highly recommended.
