This is a small residential building with only 8 flats. We also live in the building, and expect guests to ensure all members of their party adhere to the house rules:

- Max 4 people. No animals, smoking, drugs, excessive drinking, parties, hen or stag parties, high heels or loud music between 21:00 and 1000. Never let anyone into the building unless you know them. Immediately notify owner of any damage. When going out, always close lights, shut windows and lock door. If emptying rubbish, only place it inside the rubbish room (wooden doors outside at building entrance) and not under the stairs where it is a fire risk.

- At check-in guests need to text a code word to a UK mobile number to automatically open the building door, then collect the property keys from a key safe on the ground floor.

- At check-out, guests must close lights, shut windows, lock door, leave ONE set of flat keys in the welcome basket and return ONE flat key to the key safe on the ground floor for the next guest to use. Both door entry fobs must also be returned. And guests who use the complementary secure bag storage cupboard before/after their stay must close light and lock cupboard door, then return cupboard key and fob to the appropriate key safe on the ground floor. Failure to do so may result in a charge on the security deposit to replace the secure key cylinder, door entry fob etc.

We're new to HomeAway. Here's what our guests from other sites say about the flat and the neighbourhood:

"The perfect location in Central London that puts you in the same area where Londoners work and play, this is the place for you"

"Wonderful new high-spec flat in excellent City location. Excellent communication with the host. Highly recommended."

"You will not be disappointed by this flat! Incredible location, immaculately clean, terrific American-sized bathroom and good shower pressure, great wifi, etc. etc. It's exactly as pictured and described.”

“Well-located in an area of design and architecture studios, the building and immediate area were surprisingly peaceful in the evenings.”

“This is one of our favourite areas in London -- very walkable to Spitalfields and Shoreditch to the east, and to Bloomsbury, Soho, and major museums to the west.”

"It is difficult to encapsulate just how wonderful Leora's place is. If you want the perfect location in Central London that puts you in the same area where Londoners work and play, this is the place for you. If you want to be in walking distance of The City, The Thames, fine dining that is not loaded up with tourists, and quiet evenings away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist hot spots, Leora's place is for you."

“We had a wonderful stay of over a week here. The flat was quite spacious, with quality appliances, a luxurious bathroom, and lots of storage in the bedroom. Our favourite element, though, was probably the huge windows in each room, giving lots of light and fantastic views over Clerkenwell.”

"Leora's flat was smart, warm, very clean, in a great area and our stay there went very smoothly -from the automatic check in to admiring all the little high spec details in the fixtures and fittings of the flat. Our main pleasure was being able to just walk out the front door to St Paul's cathedral and Tate modern - ditto in the evening for a pint and restaurant. Would definitely stay again. Thank you Leora!"

"Leora's place was a fantastic place to stay. Her luxury apt has large windows and a very open outlook. Great for those grey London days and rare for something so close in the city! Furnishings and decor, appliances, and bathroom/kitchen are high quality and new. Leora was a great hostess. Communication for arrival and checkout was prompt and complete."

“Leora was a very communicative host and her recommendations for local hotspots were spot-on."

“Leora was the perfect host and was very accommodating with our requirements, schedule and went out her way to ensure our stay was a successful one."

“Leora was super responsive in answering any question I had and really easy to communicate with. I will definitely stay again when I get the chance. Thanks again for everything!"

“We met Leora briefly near the beginning of our stay, and she couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful; she stayed in touch and let us know that she was living on-site, which was reassuring, but she also gave us privacy.”

About Leora

We live in Clerkenwell in London in the same building as this flat. We love this neighbourhood because it's friendly, vibrant and incredibly central without being too crowded or touristy. We adore the excellent restaurants and cafes in the area - many of them individually run versus big chains. We hope you will truly enjoy your stay here, and have tried to create a wonderful temporary home for you.

Leora purchased this apartment in 2015

Quiet, cosy, central

  • 5 of 5

Great little apartment very close to Farringdon train and tube station. It's in a quiet neighbourhood and there are lots of restaurants and two supermarkets within minutes of the building. There are only a few apartments in this building making it very private. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen is equipped with enough cooking utensils to fix up a quick meal should one wish to do so. Washing machine is a bonus for longer stays. I stayed for two weeks and couldn't have wished for a better place that was within easy reach of central London. One can even walk to Tower of London (approx. 40 minutes) or Covent Garden (approx. 35 minutes) or take a bike from one of the Santander bike racks that is just outside on the street and go explore the neighbourhood. Leora was a great host, making sure I had all I needed at all times. Thank you!

Just as Advertised

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at this location. Close to Farringdon underground so transportation around the city was no problem. The unit is spacious, light, and clean. Leora has it well equipped with all the little extras you need, whether it is washing your clothes or making a meal. Grocery stores are near by for those nights you want to eat in but lots of restaurants in the neighbourhood too. Definitely recommend.
