About Cristina

I have been a resident of Union Pier for 18 years, even while owning and operating my business in Chicago. I was born and raised in Southern Michigan, and I love it here.

Cristina purchased this cottage in 2003

Why Cristina chose Union Pier

It is often hard to find homes in this resort area that rent by the room, and by the night, so I wanted to offer the guest areas of my cottage for rent in that manner. It is less than a mile from Lake Michigan / Towneline Beach.

What makes this cottage unique

This cottage is decorated, furnished and appointed as a fulltime yearound home. It has the unique combination of being a sophisticated and updated property, with a very private, quiet and spacious environment.

MI Farmhouse is a gem!

  • 5 of 5

Loved the Casita! Cristina and her pup, Frank, were hospitable, thoughtful, and friendly! Great place to stay while exploring SW MI. We loved Cristina's restoration hardware style mixed with rustic country chic. We would definitely stay again!

Beautiful home in quiet setting with towering oak and pine trees surrounding large yard

  • 5 of 5

We relaxed and enjoyed our weeks stay at Cristina's unique and cozy casita at the farmhouse. Everything was first class in every respect from coffee in the morning, naps in the hammock and the fire pit at night. Christina is a great host who has thought of everything to make our stay perfect. The casita and the home are filled with interesting historical items that all have stories behind them. It's a short walk to the beach/lake and minutes to some great places to eat. 5 stars for Cristina and her home.

Magical week in Union Pier

  • 5 of 5

The Bird House was absolutely perfect. From the fenced in yard to the hammocks to the victorian decor. The week we spent in Union Pier was perfect. We went to the beach everyday. We grilled for dinner. We had bonfires and made smores. We relaxed in the hammocks with my kids as my dog nipped at our fingers. I would absolutely recommend this home and town to anyone that is looking to have a magical week. We'll be back. In fact, we liked Union Pier so much we drove from La Grange on the following Sunday to spend the day at Townline Beach. Definitely stop at Red Arrow Ride and rent a Maui Mat to deploy at the beach.

Lovely home and beautiful location! Would go back!

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely week in Union Pier in Christina's very cool 1930's home. The house is full of charm and character which is such a nice change from city life. She has a huge fenced in yard and my two dogs were in heaven! Christina made sure we had all the comforts of home. She has a chef's kitchen and she has amazing taste in bathroom ammedities! She has soaps and shampoos you see in a 5 star hotel. We were VERY comfortable and enjoyed it very much. We will go back for sure!
