This lovely holiday home is almost 400 years old and thanks to this, it possesses many original details, such as the floor, the oak wooden beams and the chimneys. It is located in a wonderful environment in the Lake District in England. The authentic house is very charming because of the original elements that can be found throughout the house. It is spacious which results in enough privacy for everyone. Moreover, you can prepare some nice snacks in the large kitchen with double oven and enjoy them with a nice glass of wine together! In the area, there are a lot of things that can be done! You can visit the nearby city Coniston (11km) to hike in the beautiful surroundings and lakes or to canoe, kayak and climb! Windermere (8km) offers a stunning lake, historical hiking routes such as Orrest Head and the possibility to go horse riding with the children! Carlisle (80km) has got interesting museums, a lovely castle and a nice climbing center to offer. At the climbing center, the adventurers can be challenged by the climbing walls.

Laat je niet foppen door de foto. Links van de entree (in de linkergevel op de foto) ligt de doorgaande weg naar Ambleside op circa 50 centimeter van het portiek. Zeer druk. Men rijdt de vouw uit je korte broek. Vanwege die weg, en het ontbreken van een tuintje of dergelijke, was er geen enkele mogelijkheid om buiten te zitten, of zelfs maar een raam open te hebben (vanwege de herrie). Erg jammer en een zwaar wegend argument om deze woning nooit meer te boeken.

Het huisjes zelfs is hartstikke leuk, oud maar met oog voor detail gemoderniseerd.
