A nice stay in Loggos
The location is just about perfect; only 5 minutes’ walk from the restaurants of Loggos.
The villa is high up so it is not overlooked and has a good view.
Reasonable outside space but shrubs near pool were in serious need of a trim.
The pool is small but nicely incorporated in the terrace.
There are 4 cushioned sun loungers and a large table close to the pool
Overall the villa is nice but is definitely in need of some maintenance (TLC)
After a couple of days we gradually picked up on various faults.
From previous experience on other holidays, faults often do not get reported so to clarify, here is a list:
Only one bulb is working in the bathroom light so it is slightly dark in there.
The shower door does not seal very well and if water escapes it does not drain away because the floor drain is not recessed into the floor (it is slightly proud of the surrounding tiles).
Inside door handle on main door seems to have lost a fixing screw as the handle dropped off.
The clothes drying stand is gradually breaking (old age).
The end of the pool has a glass screen mounted on metal mountings but has some sharp edges.
The left hand side stone wall next to the pool glass does not sit fully on the concrete below so I would not lean on it if you were looking at the views below.
There are no drains in the terrace; so displaced water gradually trickles down the steps (if it does not evaporate).
The shower hose in the corner of the pool is missing a side stopper and the tap is not secured to the wall so there is a risk of it breaking off.
It is easy to be wise in hindsight but whoever designed and built this villa did not make best use of the space available.
This cost of accommodation at Maltezos is not cheap.
The interior is just about OK for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children), but I think it would be borderline for 2 couples as the second bedroom is smaller and has quite a small storage space. Luckily there were only 3 of us on this trip.
The outbuilding near to the kitchen does not accommodate 4 people so what is its true purpose. Incidentally the door on this is difficult to shut.
BTW some of the website gallery pictures are not current.
