We invite you to come and enjoy our home as you would your own. Our fully furnished dog friendly, sleeps 6-7 beach home has everything you'll need to have the vacation of a lifetime in beautiful Encinitas, California. The highlights of the property and surrounding area include:

Golf: too many courses to list. Encinitas Ranch is our favorite. Torrey Pines Golf Course is a short 15 minute drive.

If you are a fitness buff, we have a professional elliptical trainer, weights and a weight bench. This area is great for walking and running. If it's hills you want, we have them. If you prefer flat routes, we have that too.

Nice location but somewhat disappointing for the price.

The biggest thing we weren't prepared for was that there is an upstairs tenant that is literally 8 feet above you while you're on the back patio. Their patio is directly above yours. In addition to that their kitchen is directly above the master suite. They were very great neighbors to have and were quiet and friendly but the floor is so thin that whenever they wake up you will be up as well.

Several things around the house were in disrepair and not functioning properly. The blind to the back patio in the master suite was broken and several blinds throughout the house didn't operate properly either. Many of the ceiling fan and light switches would not operate correctly. No air conditioning. The tv wouldn't function due to the remote being broken. The BBQ was next to impossible to light and even once lit didn't get very hot. It also has a gas leak and you have to reach back under the counter to turn the gas off when not in use.

Overall it was a good stay and the house in general was pretty nice except for the above listed details. We're just disappointed with the condition of the house considering the price for the week. Overall a good stay, but we'll find a different place next time.

Owner's Response: Hi Josh, We are so sorry your stay was less than perfect. Had we known about these issues while you were here, we certainly would have remedied what we could. Regarding your surprise about the onsite property manager, I might point you to the property description stating, "Attached Apartment. Potential renters should be aware that the onsite manager (Sean and wife Halsey) live in an attached apartment above the back part of the house. Footsteps may be heard from above at times throughout your stay. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please give us a call." We never received a call nor did we receive any feedback during our multiple face-to-face interactions. In fact, our interactions seemed nothing but pleasant. We were very concerned about the stated “disrepair” of our property and did a thorough walk-through to address your noted issues. The blinds worked well for us as did the fans and lights in the bedrooms. If you had trouble operating them, our on-site property manager would have been happy to walk you through it. We did note one of the fans had a burnt out bulb and we promptly replaced it. The Universal Remote for the TV died just before your stay and is now being fixed. You may remember that we gave you the password to our ATT Uverse iPhone App so that you could use your phone as a remote during your stay. I lit the BBQ, it took 20 seconds, and after 10 minutes with the burners on and the lid closed the temperature reads 400 degrees and rising. You are correct that there is a gas leak and we ask tenants to shut of the gas valve when not in use which involves bending down and turning a knob. Again, our property manager would have been happy to help you with that. Unfortunately, few homes in this area have air conditioning. The marine layer normally keeps the temperatures quite moderate and open windows generally suffice. It was admittedly warm during your weeks stay and if there was any issue with the fans, we would have been happy to help had we known. Thank you for your thorough feedback. Again, we are sorry you and your family had so many issues with the property.

A Great Time was has by all

Could not have been more happy with the place and the wonderful little town. We spent our evening outside with the fountain and fire pit on an occasionally dipped in the spa. The beach overlook was a five minute walk and we saw the sunset there almost every night. Shaun, the owner's Son, was extremely helpful if we had any questions. And the dogs LOVED it. My girlfriend and I who actually rented it had numerous friends come at different times of your three week visit. There was plenty of room for everybody. The town was very quaint and everything was walkable.

Brilliant

My family, dogs and I just had a magical stay at this property!

Coming from the snowy mountains to this beach side home was stunning.

We enjoyed the friendliness of the local people, boogie boarding, surfing, riding bikes, running on the beach, sunsets, the nearby botanical gardens and admiring the neighborhood landscaping and architecture.

This property has brilliant land and hard-scaping lending towards a comfortable outdoor lifestyle with fine touches. The home is modern, functional, clean and the property owners are extremely accommodating.

This was a brilliant family holiday home that we hope to revisit!

Awesome place!

The home was in a perfect location - close to the beach and downtown, yet quiet and relaxing! The home was tastefully decorated and an amazing use of space! We had two families staying there and it never felt too crowded. There was tons of common space and gorgeous outdoor living space with plenty of room to spread out! Loved the jacuzzi and outdoor fire pit! You won't be disappointed if you stay here!
