Why Maeve Meredith chose Kalkan
We first visited Kalkan as a family . We fell in love with the village and the surrounding area , and decided to buy our villa when the opportunity arose . The combination of a lively and buzzing atmosphere in town . The high quality restaurants and bars , friendly people and plenty of activities and sights , is balanced by the quiet location of Villa Antik and the breathtaking view .
What makes this Villa unique
The Villa has a traditional Bosphorous design , with elegant high columns . Each room has its own carefully designed private balcony and en suite facility . The master bedroom fills the top floor with a stunning jaccuzi bathroom and dressing area .The open plan living area is airy and cool . The kitchen fully equipped , as we know how important this is . We love having a BBQ in the evening watching the sun set , and the boats return to harbour . At night the lights in the town below give a new view to appreciate . It really is a magical place .

Fabulous Villa in Kalkan
Great villa , lots of space inside and outside. The lovely pool absolutely made it for me. Gorgeous views from the villa which is set on the hillside. Great communication from the villa owner and local property manager.
This is a lot of villa for the money! Two huge bedrooms, one reasonable double .. all en suite. Spacious living spaces, well appointed kitchen. The ‘penthouse suite’ is incredible. The pool was perfect, lots of loungers and tables and chairs for eating, sunbathing etc. Muhammet was waiting for us and on the end of the phone as needed, gave great recommendations and made sure we had ice and tonic and supplies for our arrival..! Amazing service from wonderful Maeve who was simply delightful to communicate with throughout and nothing was too much trouble, Two things to be aware of, one, the stairs are open spiral stairs - fine if you have no mobility issues. WiFi doesn’t reach the top floor, and the walk into town is at least 20 minutes and steep (we just got cabs, cheap as chips and all done by what’s app) There is a bit of building work going on next door but it didn’t impact on us at all, in fact the area was wonderfully quiet. Would definitely book again!
Fantastic villa and pool
First class villa, with wonderful views and a great pool. Maeve was very responsive and helpful during our booking. Thanks
Spacious and well equipped villa with heated pool.
Had the best family holiday ever in this comfortable and spacious villa. Fantastic views across the Kalkan hillsides and bay and a short walk into town with plenty of restaurants and supermarkets to stock up on supplies. The option of having the pool heated was a massive plus for us and we spent many an hour in the pool. Already booked to go back next year!
Thanks Cath and Greg for your lovely review .....the pool heater is new , so I am really pleased it did the trick . Delighted you are coming back next year too , M x
Brilliant villa with lovely views
Lovely villa with loads of space, the villa is located 20 mins away from town by walk. Or 15 lira (£2) by cab. There are some closer shops to do your food shop so don’t worry.
Villa is so nice and modern and very well decorated, the views are stunning also.
Would highly recommend and enjoyed my stay massively.
Thank you for everything. The owner Maeve couldn’t have made it easier for us to book and organise all transfers from the airport and back. Allowed us late check out as well what was brilliant. So helpful and made our stay even better. Thank you
Thank you so much Jonny for your lovely review ..... I am really pleased you had such a good holiday, M x
Lovely stay at Villa Antik
A fantastic well equipped villa with a well maintained pool and fantastic views of the bay and mountains. The villa is situated in a peaceful location at the top of the town and yet a 10 minute walk from the centre. The peace was sometimes broken during the day by some pretty awful music coming from the villa behind but it was not a problem at night. It is worth mentioning that the sun disappeared from the pool area at around 5:00 in the evening but this has the advantage that if you want to walk down to the town in the early evening for your evening meal you are walking down in the shade. We did not have a car but used the taxi's which have a fixed charge of 15TL for each trip in the locality, which is a bargain.
A disadvantage of a visit to Turkey can be the bland beer that can be found locally. However there is bar called "The Junction" which is a short walk from the villa. This bar had a choice of 3 IPA's, a fab Red Ale and a Porter from a small microbrewery near Fethiye called "Gaza Guzu".
Eating out was fantastic and extremely well priced given the exchange rate. If you want a change from the pool, then visit the Kalamar Bay Beach Club which was fantastic.
All in all a great place to stay for a fantastic holiday.
