About the property

Gorgeous cabin! The cabin was built in 2015, and everything has been purchased or hand crafted for the cabin.

Brian Head Town did not suffer from the forest fire and the cabin is in great condition!

The driveway is not available for cars in the winter. The slope of the driveway is too dangerous, but there is a walking path cleared to the cabin from the street level. Parking is on the street level, parallel to the cabin's property.

The cabin has 3 levels:

1st Level:

Garage: 2 car garage, with a "man door" for easy access during the winter months. Sleds are available along with racks for ski/snowboard storage.

The basement is 1200 square feet - stained concrete with radiant heating and 2 large windows

Mud room to put your snowy, muddy boots and hang your snow clothes to dry, also features a glove and boot warmer. Also stores a folding table and 6 chairs for additional seating if needed.

Game area - Foosball Table, Pool Table, Game Table, 60 inch TV, Dish Satellite, XBox 360, BluRay player, and a full library of DVDs, and a dozen paperback books.

2 Bunk beds - single sleeper on top and double on the bottom (sleeping 6)

Full bathroom, with a shower/tub combo

2nd Level: Great Room has an incredible view! Gorgeous pine wood flooring!

Master Bedroom 1 - king bed (sleeps 2), shower, tub, 2 sinks, and separate commode, closet, plenty of shelf and drawer space.

Great Room - best view in Brian Head, directly looking out at Giant Steps ski slopes, amazing 30 feet of windows facing the East! 2 couches, coffee table, and a chair, gas fireplace, 49 inch TV, Dish Satellite, wireless internet, and BluRay player.

Dining Area - 10 foot table that seats 12

Kitchen - bar area that seats 5, double ovens, huge pantry, dishes, glasses, and utensils, coffee maker, toaster, crock pot, griddle, and MANY other kitchen necessities.

Laundry room - washer and dryer available (also detergent)

Pantry - large area to store your food and sundries

Bath - half bath

Front Patio - features deck furniture to enjoy the view

Rear Patio - BBQ, natural gas

3rd Level

Loft - has 2 Queen sleeper sofas (surprisingly comfortable) (sleeps 4), the trunks next to the sofas hold the linens, pillows, and comforters

Master Bedroom 2 - king bed (sleeps 2), master bath - shower, tub, 2 sinks, and separate commode, door to a small balcony to enjoy the fresh air

Queen Bedroom 1 - queen bed (sleeps 2), with a walk in closet, and sink

Queen Bedroom 2 - queen bed (sleeps 2), with a walk in closet, and sink, door to a small balcony to enjoy the fresh mountain air

"Jack and Jill Bathroom" - shared commode and large shower

General:

This is a non-smoking establishment.

No pets are allowed.

There is wireless internet; however, the connectivity is limited. Probably not enough to stream movies, even though the TV is capable.

We provide paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, hand soap, and trash bags.

During the summer, there is a walking/biking trail that starts right at the end of the cul-de-sac where the cabin sits.

During the winter, the cabin is a 5 minute drive from each of the 3 lift areas.

Exterior security cameras.

About Heather Allen

This is a family affair! The property was purchased in 2006 by our parents and grandparents. Due to circumstances, the cabin could not be built until last year, completed in 2015. We (my siblings, parents, and grandparents) pooled together and started the construction process in 2014. It is finally done! My siblings live in Los Angeles, and the rest of us live in Las Vegas. The property title is in my sister's name, and I (Heather) have decided to run the rental side of it.

Heather Allen purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Heather Allen chose Utah

My grandparents had a cabin in Braffit's Creek, UT, 10 miles from Brian Head. We had a lot of great family moments at that cabin. But, we couldn't get to it during the winter and it was small. So, that prompted looking elsewhere. Duck Creek seemed great, but busy! Brian Head has more of a local, rural feel, that is also not too far away from many wonderful activities. We designed the cabin (my grandfather is a retired architect and my father works in construction) to hold a large extended family.

What makes this cabin unique

2 summers ago, we rented a cabin west of Cedar City (using VRBO) and we decided to drive up and see the property in Brian Head. We went on this amazing hike, not far from the property, that wandered through a valley of wildflowers! It was beyond beautiful: 65 degrees, a creek, and pond. It made us think... we could do this! Build the cabin we had wanted, large enough for an extended family, and to off set the costs - rent it out when we were not using it.

Through the whole building process, we have seen the seasons. Fall is gorgeous, cool weather, but color on the trees. The snow is just majestic, and we experienced many days of deep snow but sunny weather. I can't wait to see the wildflowers again!

This cabin is unbelievably beautiful!!!

  • 5 of 5

I was part of a group of 6 that stayed here, using this cabin as a home base between national parks. For the first day and a half we couldn't even tear ourselves away from this beautiful home.

They truly thought of everything! From the entertainment such as the fully stocked game room, an extensive movie collection, board games, and snow sleds in the garage. To the fully stocked kitchen. I brought a couple kitchen items from home ( electric griddle, slow cooker) and didn't even need them. They have everything you could possibly need in a kitchen.

We loved it here and hope to return very soon!!!!

Perfect perfect perfect

Not complaining about anything, but would be heavenly to have small side tables next to sofas to place a cup of tea while reading.

Wonderful Experience

  • 5 of 5

We loved this cabin! Everything is exactly as pictured and stated and everything we needed for our group of 13 was there. There was plenty of space for everyone and comfortable beds in the masters. We cooked group dinners and there was plenty of seating with the dining room table and the kitchen island combined. The owner was easy to contact and very accessible. We had the most wonderful time skiing and we will definitely be back in beautiful Brian Head and I hope we can get this cabin again!
