About the property

This holiday home is a comfortable two-bedroom apartment on the first floor of modern building overlooking Chessel's Court, just off the Canongate (Royal Mile) in the centre of Edinburgh. The apartment is within easy walking distance of the major tourist attractions, festival venues, shops, nightlife and transport connections.

With a Juliet balcony beside the dining area, the living room is light and looks out on to leafy Chessel's Court, which is set back from the bustling Canongate. There are two sofas with TV and a dining area. The kitchen is separate from the living room. The kitchen is well provided with crockery, cutlery, glasses and kitchenware, as well as a washing machine, fridge, freezer, cooker and microwave. There is a double bed in bedroom 1, two single beds in bedroom 2 (this can be set up to be one single bed if required), and a shower room (no bathtub).

The apartment has gas central heating. The price of gas, electricity and local taxes is included. For the comfort of future guests, the apartment is non-smoking and pets are not allowed.

Great apartment in a great location

Even before our arrival, Billy made us feel welcome by texting to arrange our arrival time & where to meet us. He met us on arrival and gave us a guided tour of the apartment. He.d also left us some provisions which was much appreciated (we could have a cup of tea!).

The apartment is in a great location, not too far from all the sights but far enough away to be nice and quiet. It was so easy to find too.

The rooms and facilities are just right. The photos show the rooms perfectly. The kitchen is all you need and the shower is excellent. The beds are very comfortable and it felt like home from home. We were so glad of the heating as the weather was freezing out but the flat was always cosy to come back to.

We didn't explore the garden outside as it was too cold but I bet in summer it's lovely when the trees are in leaf.

We have visited Edinburgh several times before but this was the first time we had stayed so centrally. We could explore everywhere we wanted to on foot. i would definitely recommend a visit to the National Museun of Scotland - it's free - and there's so much to see ( and a great place to spend time warming up when it's cold outside!)

All in all, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.

Comfortable and lovely

We arrived on last 20th Febraury's night and we immediately went to sleep.

The beds were soft like a cloud and we've had a long rest. The following morning we woke up and had a tea as a good Scottish. Then we went out for a city trip and most important, to look for an adapter because we've forgot to bring them from home.The bathroom was really nice,the shower was large and the water fell smoothly;it was fantastic, the hair-dryer was also very powerful and we didn't found any problems.The kitchen was small, but anyway nice, and all the foodstuffs were delicious. The living room was adorable, with a suggestive wiew of the large nearby garden and lots of art references, with also a great TV. The bedrooms were comfortable and perfect for a nap. It was basically perfect,the perfect trip to a perfect city. I suggest it to you all!!

Un parfait nid douillet dans la vieille ville !

Des hôtes parfaits, très attentionnés et chaleureux.

L'appartement est calme, confortable et très bien situé.

Vous y trouverez tout le confort nécessaire pour un séjour parfait,

et situé dans la vieille ville sans les nuisances sonores.

L'accès de l'aéroport est très simple par bus (300) et/ou retour par tram, ou Uber (en fonction de votre heure d'arrivée )

C'est une ville très agréable à découvrir (avec un très beau panorama au château qui est tout au bout de la rue (Royal Mile).

Je vous conseille vivement cet Home Sweet Home.

Great Location, helpful & friendly owners!

This apartment is in a fantastic location on the Royal Mile and was perfect for our family of 4. The owners were extremely helpful, giving us easy to follow directions from the train station which is also close by and an easy walk and keeping in touch prior to our arrival. They were also very considerate having milk, juice and bananas waiting for us so we could have a snack when we arrived. The apartment had everything we needed and the heating was extremely effective, which was welcome for Australians visiting in winter! Located in between Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace, each were a very easy walk. We would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment and would definitely stay here again.
