Wonderful holiday!

  • 5 of 5

Lovely comfortable cottage that had everything we needed for a relaxed stay. Beautiful village, so nice to switch off and unwind in peaceful surroundings. The children loved the river and pond across the lane and we had a lovely time visiting nearby Sidmouth. We would recommend this cottage and would love to visit again.

Sidbury Sun Trap

  • 5 of 5

We were lucky with the weather Sunny and warm for 6 of the 7 days, the garden of the property is a veritable sun trap.

Topaz Cottage is well appointed and very comfortable, it contains all the typical cottage features, low ceilings, .iniglenook fireplace and quaint staircase but includes all the necessary modern conveiences in the kitchen and bathroom.

Steve and Jill provided a nice welcome pack but also a treasure trove of all the basic ingredients you are ever likely to require.

What a great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved the cottage. You felt at home as soon as you walked through the front door. It was very well equipped throughout and to have basic supplies such as tea, coffee, milk, etc in the kitchen to welcome you was a very good touch. The cottage was well maintained and fresh and clean and had everything we needed. The back garden was a great place to have an early evening drink and listen to the birds singing.

The owner was in regular contact and very helpful throughout from the time we booked and provided comprehensive notes on how to get to the property, how to get in, and various things about the property and the location. The notes also included contact details just in case!

The location was perfect for us. It was so quiet and a great countryside location but with a local shop and pub a short walk away. It was also a good location to explore the area either by car or bus. There were local walks to enjoy as well. We visited the Donkey Sanctuary, the Seaton Tramway, Colyton, Budleigh Salterton, and Otterton as well as Sidmouth which were all within easy reach.

We really enjoyed staying in the cottage and would not hesitate in recommending it to friends and family.

We loved the cottage. It was really comfortable, very homely, and very well equipped.

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was great. It was in an idyllic location. It was really comfortable and was well equipped - it was a nice touch to have milk, tea and coffee and lots of other provisions available when we arrived. There was a pretty back garden with lots of birds visiting and we enjoyed sitting out there in the evening. The location is great with Sidmouth, Honiton, and Exeter able to be reached by bus with the stops only a couple of minutes walk away at the top of the road. There are some nice walks from the cottage. We enjoyed the walk into Sidmouth which took us just over the hour but have to admit the second time we got the bus back!

Overall a great place to stay.
