About Deborah Dyer

I am a mother of 3 children, Tallulah who lives in London and has her own social media company, Blaise who is a fashion and lifestyle blogger and Caleb who is at University in Texas on a tennis scholarship. I am married to Pete who has 3 children, James, Olivia and Lara who come to stay at the weekends and holidays. We live in Lechlade with our 2 black labradors, Boris and Brian. The Cottage is our second holiday rental property. We also own The Barn Cotswolds which sits in the gardens of my home. We have a gym at home which I use to give Personal Training to guests staying at The Barn or to local residents who come more regularly. I am passionate about my family and love nothing better than having all the children at home. I love cooking, drawing, painting and calligraphy and like to spend my time making thins. My background is in fashion design so when the children were older I became a wardrobe consultant and stylist. I enjoy fine food and wine whether that be out at a pub or restaurant or at home with friends over for dinner.

Why Deborah Dyer chose Fairford

After the success of The Barn, we were looking for a second property. Living in the Cotswolds is amazing and I wanted to be able to share all that it has to offer with other people. When I first saw the cottage I knew it was the place for us. The location is perfect, on the edge of the beautiful town of Fairford and within 5 minutes walk of it's centre and with the Cotswold countryside on it's doorstep.

What makes this cottage unique

The Cottage is cosy yet luxurious at the same time. It has a wonderful feel to the property with a secluded garden and really does feel like home from home

Beautiful cottage in great location

  • 5 of 5

This place is dreamy- we all had serious house envy all weekend!

So clean and enough space for a family with two young kids and a couple to spend with a decent level of room.

Host so kind and really responsive to messages.

Location just a short walk from Fairford but ideal by car for exploring the Cotswolds like we did.

Just gorgeous :)

Beautiful Cotswolds cottage

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It's in a great location a short walk into Fairford, with many Cotswolds attractions nearby. The lovely back garden leading straight out from the kitchen was a great bonus and we really appreciated the little touches, such as home-made scones with clotted cream and jam when we arrived! It felt a truly relaxing break.

beautiful cottage hidden away in Cotswold village. Perfect location to explore surrounding area

  • 5 of 5

we love everything about the house. The style, the feel, the location, everything.

It felt like home for the 3 nights we stayed and the only shame was it was so cold be couldn't open the bi-fold doors to let the outside in.

A small issue was the heating in the front double bedroom - it didn't really warm the room up. This was not an issue with the rear double as it was double glazed and had a modern heater.

This is a small issue we lived with as the rest of the house was perfect. The kitchen truly was the centre of the home; we spent most our time there. It is thought out so well and the amenities are perfect. As is the look and layout.

Location - it is on the edge of Fairford, a lovely little village with a great pub, The Bull. We had Sunday lunch there and loved it. It is also not too far from Swindon, Cirencester and no more than an hour from Oxford, Cheltenham or Gloucester.

Perfect house for 6 adults to stay and ideal for our family of 4.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and the owner Deborah is super helpful.

Hopefully we will return one day soon

Georgeous Cottage In Quaint Fairford

  • 5 of 5

We spent Chrimbo-Limbo at the cottage in Fairford and couldn't have asked for more. It's well located in the village, only a 10 minute walk at most into the middle of town and a fantastic base to explore the charming Cotswolds. The cottage was well heated, including the much loved open fire and the kitchen provided everything we needed to cook a family meal in the evenings. Deb, the owner was lovely and checked-in to see if there was anything we needed and hopefully we'll be returning in the future.

Very comfortable base for six near Oxford

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here with our four boys, six of us altogether, just before Christmas. Everyone was very impressed with the delicious home-baked treats left out for us and the luxurious linen, even bathrobes. The kitchen is very well-equipped, every sized pot you could ever need, and there is a little supermarket in town for supplies. Even better, across the road from the supermarket is an innovative, welcoming pub with roaring fires and comfortable couches, The Bull.

A lovely stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely stay at the cottage! Deborah was incredibly helpful in helping to arrange activities and offer advice for dinner arrangements. The house is very comfortable although the living room only really comfortably sits 4. And the only other tiny criticism was that there was so salt and pepper grinder which would be useful. There were however lovely bath towels and bath robes for everyone. And homemade treats on arrival! I would definitely stay here again

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. I'm so sorry that the salt and pepper grinder was missing. I shall have to replace those, thank you for letting me know. The sofas in the sitting room are both 3 seaters so there should have been enough room for you to all have a seat but my apologies if you found that not the case. I'd also like to thank you for leaving the cottage looking so neat and tidy, it's really appreciated. I do hope you come and stay again...perhaps you might want to take a look at my other property, The Barn in Lechlade, as you know, just down the road and has an open plan sitting room which you may find better for your needs.
