About Giannis Siganos

I and Kyriaki will wait you at one of the most traditional village in East Crete! All the houses have been renovated and rebuilt from stones and wood. The village took its name from the fantastic sunrise which is occurred here as the name of the village in Greek language means sunrise. The view to Libyan sea and to Chrissi island is magnificent and you can see it from all the apartments.

We would be glad to show you the beautiful nature around as the variety of the canyons ,herbs, rare ancient olive trees which are located here are unique. In addition, the most beautiful archaeological sites on Crete are located here as Lasithi plateau, Zakros, Gournia and Minoan path. The small mountain village is the starting point of a wonderful central location for excursions; ranging from about Ierapetra Myrtos, Agios Nikolaos, Elounda, Vai and many other south-eastern destinations. Some options for natural sites very close to Anatoli village is Sarakina Kanyon and Selakano forest. Chrissi island which is famous for its beaches, is 40-minute ferry ride away. Diving, sailing, cycling and horseback riding are available. In addition, there are archaeological sites, as the Dictean cave, the Minoan Town of Gournia. the minoan path and the old bridge of Myrtos. Spinalonga island in Elounda and also the archaeological museum of Ierapetra.

Why Giannis Siganos chose Anatoli

The area of Anatoli has many ecclesiastical monuments, Monasteries and Byzantine icons of great art.The old traditional settlement of Anatoli has remained untouched by time, with its stone-built houses, the alleys, the old Kato Vrysi. Some years ago, it entered a program ofrenovation, was characterized as a traditional settlement and today houses and tourist lodgings of exceptional esthetics are built in stone. In a few years, Anatoli of Ierapetra willbe one of the most beautiful villages of Crete, with its wonderful climate, its extraordinary view, its incomparable natural landscape on which the Museum of Natural Historyof Crete has worked and about which it published a relevant document.Anatoli as well as its residents have to this day been successful in the agricultural, tourist and intellectual sectors. Personalities coming from the village dominate the political, social and intellectual life of our country. Anatoli was a Municipality in the beginning of the 20th century, then a Community and today a Local Department ofthe Municipality of Ierapetra, building its future on solid foundations. Hosting important cultural events, with itshistorical, folkloric and musical contributions, it is a center of attraction of bothlocals and foreigners. With a tavern, one coffee house, a renovatedold school and hospitable residents, it satisfies the most demandingvisitors. Anatoli is even rich in snails and wild mushrooms.

What makes this villa unique

Olive oil and Cretan herbs from our garden for your cooking are available. There is also coffee, milk, tea, marmalade, butter, and honey inside in the apartment for your breakfast.

The facility of washing machine is available and it is located very close in the complex not at the apartment.

Anatoli traditional villas-live the real Cretan life
average rating of 4.75 based on 8 reviews

A great place to stay, away, off the beaten track, but close enough to lots.

  • 4 of 5

Kyriaki & Giannis make it a wonderful place to stay. The small villa we had was clean and had all we required for 5 or 6 days. The welcome with a coffee and conversation about what we wished to see and do, followed up with an e-mail of relevant places was terrific. Anatoli, itself, does not have much in the way of attractions but perhaps that is what makes the place so quiet and peaceful, with the calls of the birds and the tinkle of goat bells in the evening and morning just the right touch for the beginning and ending of each day of outings. If there on a Saturday night you get a great little feast, with local raki and cooking, and a chance to meet fellow guests as well as conversations with Kyriaki and Giannis. Kyriaki goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and comfortable.

romantisches Appartement, atemberaubende Umgebung

  • 5 of 5

Einfach mal nach „Walk With Donkeys“ googeln.

Beautiful Apartment with stunning view

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay in Anatoli mostly because of this cozy apartment in an original built stone house. Inside you have everything you need for colder seasons even a chimney. At night you have a stunning view from the terace on the roof. Here you can see all the stars even the milky way. It is fantastic!

The hosts Giannis and Kyriaki are very friendly and welcomed us with warmth and even prepared delicious homemade cretan food for us. That was the best start in our holiday.

Anatoli itself is a sweet little village with beautiful houses and an amazing flora and fauna. You can find almond-, pompgranate and figtrees hanging full of fruits. There are plenty points of interest you can reach by car (it is recommended to rent a car) as beaches (within 20 - 30 minutes), gorges and other villages.

We truly enjoyed our holiday in Anatoli and we can not wait to return anytime soon.

Tolle Unterkunft in wunderschönem Dorf

  • 5 of 5

Location bella e posto tranquillissimo

  • 5 of 5
