About Cassie Christensen
I'm a Colorado native, he's a New England transplant who fell in love with the state during his childhood road trips. The cabin was purchased in fulfillment of a dream come true that was inspired by our own engagement road trip. And as much we wish we could live there year round, work pulls us back to the city so we decided to share the cabin with others in search of the same escape we found and hopefully inspire other dreamer's pursuits.
Cassie Christensen purchased this Cabin in 2016
Why Cassie Christensen chose Warm Springs
From the twisted pine railings to the expansive views. Our favorite moose and bear mascots that assist in creating the cabin theme. The open floor plan and the easy access to the outdoors. The massive deck that wraps around 3/4 of the house. The huge wood-burning stove that makes the perfect holiday backdrop. The hot tub, the games and most of all...the memories. This is our favorite place on the planet and we so enjoy sharing it with others looking to enjoy the magic of the Colorado mountains.
What makes this Cabin unique
Bearnard the bear and Moosille the moose, our local mascots, will be the theme of your visit and you may just see their real life relatives stroll up the driveway, depending on the season.

Chocolate Moose so Gorgeous !!!
This cabin was definitely the best of the homes we've ever rented for vacation trip. It is a super cozy, peaceful place lots of views lots of snow for the kids. Cabin is set up for a huge family and well stocked in kitchen and bathrooms. Really all you need is food I would say your set . Also washer and dryer for you. We all felt very at home there and had plenty of space to hang out and relax. It is also stocked with many games and puzzles ,WiFi, TV’s . We had fun playing Board games. The Cabin was very nice the views are like so gorgeous. We visited Breckinridge , Fairplay , Denver , And other nearby towns. The owner Cassie was great and was there for anything we needed. She also checked in with us to make sure we had a good stay. Double thumbs up on this one!
We enjoyed the views from the deck a lot! We are hoping to get a group together for a September/October visit. The aspen colors would be amazing! The cabin was very clean and welcoming.

Wonderful Mountain Getaway at the Chocolate Moose
We have been on a lot of vacations from the beach to the Smoky Mtns over the years. This house/owners were by far our favorite. This house was by far the most amazing place we have ever stayed and stocked better than any where we have ever been. It was beautiful, homey, comfortable, clean, lots of games, options for late night tv time, great WiFi, kitchen had everything you need, hot tub was great, and the owners were the most amazing caring people we have ever come across. There were 9 of us and we fit perfectly. We enjoyed the fire pit, the trails, and the amazing views. Fairplay was close and the grocery store had everything we needed. We had a few hiccups with vehicles and other things that had nothing to do with the house. Cassie went above and beyond to help us out. She saved us a lot of stress and helped make our vacation a priceless memory. Our family will forever be grateful to Beau and Cassie for helping make our Colorado trip a family vacation we will never forget. Thank you, Cassie Beau!
Hit the trails by simply opening the backdoor. The many trails maintained by the community connect up with the National Forest to the south providing hours upon hours of exploration. If you want to continue your adventures a bit further from home, you can catch the Colorado Trail on top of Kenosha pass about 30 miles to the north, or bag your first 14er by climbing Mount Sherman just a few miles up the road.
Enjoy the private stocked fishing ponds within the community (no Colorado license needed - just grab the pass from in the kitchen) or grab a license and venture out to explore all of the amazing fishing destinations in the area (http://285mountainguide.com/guide/activities/fishing.html). The community also offers a tennis and basketball court if a friendly rivalry needs to be decided on the court.
If 4-wheeling is more your speed, the cabin is just 10 minutes from Breakneck Pass (https://www.trailsoffroad.com/trails/231-breakneck-pass) and over a dozen other rated trails are located within an hour's drive.
Just 10 miles up the road you'll find the adorable and inviting mountain town of Fairplay. Home of the South Park City Museum, a perfectly restored mining town that lets you walk through over 40 authentic buildings from the time period. It is also the inspiration for the popular cartoon series, South Park. Drive through and spot all of Kenny's favorite hangouts. In addition to the museum you'll find restaurants, shopping, the new South Park Recreation Center, and local art on display. Spend the day strolling, snacking and don't forget to stop by South Park Brewery for a pint of craft beer and live music on your way back home.
The cabin is located 32 miles from Breckenridge Ski Resort, so if you're in search of a Colorado blue bird day you're less than an hour from speeding down over 180 trails. In the summer, the resort transforms into a family fun zone, offering alpine slides, ropes courses and mining for adults and children of all ages.
36 miles to the south of the cabin you'll find Buena Vista, CO. (Pronounced B-yoo-na Vista - if you want to sound like a local). They offer guided whitewater rafting, an outdoor adventure park, local breweries, festivals, hot springs, dining, and access to more of the famed Colorado 14'ers (14,000 foot peaks) than any other town in CO. It's an outdoor playland.
With so much to do we most definitely can't cover it all here so please reach out with any questions. We'll do our best to assist.
