Guestbook comments from the manager

We had a fantastic 2 night stay at Fisherman's cottage- it is quite literally by the beach, only a 2 minute walk away. The cottage was charming and had everything you could need for a couple of nights at the seaside. Phil was a great host. We booked very last minute, and he was very accommodating. Would totally recommend! Thanks!! Lisa and James

Fisherman's cottages Broadstairs

  • 5 of 5

We have been staying in these cottages for over a decade, several times in 2, Church Square & the upgrade is amazing with the fully equipped basement kitchen we loved it.

Might I suggest a couple of points:-

A warning note / sign about the low headroom on the basement stairs into the kitchen diner.

A warning-note / label about the switch on the first floor landing for the

toilet 'sanilav' system.

The front door lock is a bit sticky.

Thanks for another cracking week..Bryan & Janet

As a 6 footer I found it cramped!

  • 2 of 5

This property is comprised of 4 small rooms spread over 4 floors, which are

connected by 3 steep, narrow staircases. The property description includes 'garden' but this was a gravel bed outside the front door. We found it difficult to fit 4 adults into this property, but it was clean and tidy and the location is good.

Warm, cosy cottage hidden away in the centre of Broadstairs

  • 5 of 5

Perfect spot for a weekend break - everything you could need (bar a colander) and right in the middle of Broadstairs, hidden away in a little cul de sac of similar cottages.

We enjoyed Broadstairs but think the cottage is not suitable for the elderly (we are both 83) or people with any infermity. There should be a warning.

Also we dislike your aggressive approach such as demanding a date for replying .

Brilliant stay

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was everything we needed. Five minutes walk from the beach (morning strolls - in wellies but still lovely!) and a number of great restaurants (the tapas place Albarino was gorgeous). We stayed with our 6 year old who loved the cottage and her cosy room. Couldn't fault it. Phil was consummate host and couldn't have been nicer. Fully recommend.

Lovely break in a lovely cottage

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was perfect for a break in Broadstairs. Great location with everything on the doorstep and it was all very easy with two young children (infant school age). The stairs were steep but children were fine with these. We had everything we needed, the cottage was clean with nice bedding and furniture etc. Phil was very helpful with any questions. Lovely time!

An excellent selection of pubs, restaurants, bistros & take aways you can experience; Italian, Mexican, Indian, Thai, Chinese, or traditional English food are all within easy walking distance.

If shopping is your pleasure, drive out to the new Shopping Centre at Westwood Cross, just five minutes' away, where you will find a large selection of shops and a department store.

Being right on the tip of the South East of England, we have our own little micro-climate here producing some of the best weather in the UK.

You will be guaranteed a warm and friendly welcome whenever you come to Broadstairs. This picturesque town has a special atmosphere all of its own. Originally a small fishing hamlet, the town's ancient maritime past is nowhere more clearly seen, than in the huddle of cottages, old customs house & 16th century weather-boarded boat house which nestles around the harbour.
