About the host

Host profile image
I'm a Canadian gal just potty enough about Brittany, its people, way of life and authentic community values to buy an ole wreck and completely renovate it, while preserving the best of exposed beams, glorious Chestnut flooring and stone walls!
Summer rented for 10 years, most guests have enjoyed the besy of both worlds in staying in teh cottage - ancient history as well as coastal delights!

Why they chose this property

The cottage is located on a quiet side street in the ancient market town of Guemene sur Scorff, which was the seat of the noble Rohan family in the Middle Ages. It's a 5 minute walk to patisseries, boulangeries, a substantial supermarket with a great wine selection, restaurants and banks, ATM's. Market day is Thursday. Wonderful mix of history, comfort and area to explore!
The house came with a ramshackle garden but with an enclosed walled space, quite unusual in a village well worth the effort to dig in and develop!

What makes this property unique

Wonderful cycling to nearby villages or along the canals - 4 bikes provided. Guemene is great central location to access the best of medieval Brittany - BUT the coast about 45 mins away!

A Welcome Basket and quality linens and towels are provided with a cleaning service on your departure.
