Magnificent Villa surraunded by olive trees and vineyards

Bedrooms 2
Space 1,033 sq. ft.
Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 3 - 7 nights

About the property

2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, beautiful panorama

Villa Limoni is a spacious two bedroomed cottage facing on to the main piazza of Borgo Montefiorile. From the piazza views over the Chianti countryside can be enjoyed. The front door is reached up a set of terracotta steps and opens straight into the living and dining area.

To the left is the fitted kitchen with granite worktops. A wooden dining table and chairs and the comfortable sofa create a pleasant place to relax indoors. Traditional high beamed ceilings and tiled floors are found throughout the house. Passing through the French doors at the far end of this room you enter into the large private garden. Outdoor dining furniture invites you to spend time here surrounded by shady trees and aromatic shrubs.

The master bedroom, with double bed, is of a good size and there is direct access out into the garden. The connected bathroom also houses the washing machine.

The second bedroom is to the other side of the living area and is furnished with two single beds. This room overlooks the piazza. The second bathroom with shower is next to this bedroom.

Limoni is an ideal base for exploring this beautiful area or for enjoying relaxing days by the poolside

Montefiorile is a small hamlet of 14 villas situated in a tranquil position in the heart of the Chianti Classico wine producing area. The hamlet is on a hillside and the houses enjoy stunning views over the vineyards of Ama Castle and olive groves and across wooded hillsides as far as Monte Amiata and Val d’Orcia on the distant horizon. Renovated in recent years, alongside the neighbouring village of Montebuoni, using local material, it retains the atmosphere of a Tuscan hilltop village.

I love animals specially my dogs. I like to do excursions into the wood and at the beach side.

A wonderful place to experience Tuscany

  • 4 of 5

Property was clean and we'll appointed. We just had two problems we were able to resolve.

1. The water heater was switched off and we had no hot water. After some searching we were able to figure out how to turn it on.

2. There was no extra toilet paper in the house - just what was left on the rolls in the bathrooms. We picked some up at the grocery store.

Very clean property out in the wine country.

  • 4 of 5

There are many steps getting to the property, older individuals or those with heavy bags beware. I didn't think I would miss not having a view, but I did. Kitchen has everything you need. Small local store has basic food, fruit and wine. Directions from Rome are confusing and winding road very long and hard to drive. Enter from the south if possible. GPS won't get you there need Google maps on phone.

The place was as per on-line description

  • 4 of 5

Lucia was waiting for us as per time agreement, and did show us the location facilities. The Condo is well furnish and has a little patio area with à small BBQ. From the condo unit itself there is no view to the vineyard and olive trees. One must got to the main patio to observe the field. The pool was accessible and well maintain although it was on the cold side. The closes town Radda is 15 minutes away by car from the Condo.

Be aware that WIFI did cost 20 euros per computer per week. Also be prepare to add visitor taxes 1.50 euro/day/person.

As a whole we did enjoy the very clean and quiet place (Sept).

Beautiful Remote Spot!

  • 4 of 5

The Tuscan Villa is absolutely lovely! We got unlucky with the weather so it was difficult to enjoy the views and any of the outside amenities in the rain. The Villa is fairly close to the village of Radda in Chianti - which is wonderful! But You will want a GPS system to get around in the area for sure. The one advisory we have is to plan ahead and take your own Toilet Paper - none was supplied and it required us driving back into a village in the dark to purchase.

It is an easy 35 minute drive into Siena - but much longer to Florence. Lucia is very nice and accomodating but it you don't speak Italian is much easier to communicate with her in writing than verbally.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the positive comment on Villa Limoni, I am very sorry that you found the bad weather. I apologize for the problem of toilet paper: it was a distraction of the person who cleans the house. I hope in the future to accommodate you again kind regards Lucia

Nice summer location for 4 persons in the countryside!

  • 4 of 5

Nice location, need a car to get and live there, nice and tidy common pool, well equipped house and well equipped kitchen.

We would come back again to visit tuscany.

Very kind and helpful owner/landlady, towels and linen included, final cleaning costs 80€ extra.

Arrangement of various houses in the area, our private gardenarea is not visible from the other houses.

Fijn huis, ideale ligging om toscane te verkennen

  • 4 of 5
