The ideal country cottage

  • 5 of 5

From the first moment of stepping into this lovely cottage we were very impressed with its tasteful decor and comfortable arrangement. The freshly baked scones with jam and clotted cream added a lovely touch. The cottage comes with its own small garden however we also had access to a larger lawned area where a badminton net and a table tennis had been set up. This was very popular with our eleven and fourteen yr old children.

In addition, the location of the cottage is ideal for many areas of interest including Wells, clarks village, Bath, kilver court gardens and Glastonbury itself to name a few.

A fantastic cottage in a quiet yet convenient location. We would have no hesitation in recommending it , and would love to return again one day. Many thanks to the owners for their hospitality.

beautiful holiday

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is very charming and well equipped with

a beautiful small garden, where you can sit comfortably outside

even if the weather ist not the best because there is a sun roof on top.

The landscape of Somerset is very picturesque and there are many

sights which are not far away ( Stourhead, Bath, Glastonbury, Wells, Cheddar Gorge, Montecute House, even Stonehenge and Avebury). The owners are very friendly and helpful !

We cannot say very much about the pubs and restaurants in the area, because

we only cooked ourself. The supermarket Tesco in Shepton Mallet is excellent.

Lovely home from home

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful cottage is exactly like the online photos! Lovely & clean throughout, with nice bedding & big, fluffy bath towels. 2 great power showers! Personal touches on arrival included freshly cut flowers from the garden, a bowl of fresh fruit, teabags & coffee & homemade flapjacks. There is ample parking in the lovely grounds, where our 2 children roamed freely in the den area, with the family dog, by the horses & playing table tennis. With a washing line in the barn, you can peg out clothes whatever the weather. We visited Wells, Glastonbury, Bath & many other places during our week-long stay. (You definitely need a car though). The couple who own the cottage live next door and were very friendly & helpful with any questions/recommendations. The only tips I would give would be to take washing powder, kitchen foil, cling film, dishwasher tablets (3/4 were provided), and extra toilet rolls. But bin liners, tea-towels, kitchen roll, washing up liquid & cloths were all provided. We had a lovely week & would definitely recommend this cottage to any family of 4.

Nettes kleines Cottage!

  • 5 of 5
