About Liam & Fiona Travers
I come from a family background in the hospitality industry. I grew up in Kildare which is about 45 minutes from Dublin and worked for many years in my parent's hotel there. I emigrated to New York for a number of years and when I returned in 1990 I purchased this property in Dublin City. As I am a qualified builder and carpenter I undertook to restore this house over a number of years and restore it to some of its former glory. As you can see from the pictures there are a lot of original features which I managed to retain and I am pleased that I can finally share them with people from all over the world. I am now living in Kildare again and am married with a daughter. As my parents before me I am committed to providing all of my guests with a wonderful holiday experience in a beautiful period house. I am available at all times for my guest either by phone or email and am happy to answer any query.

Why Liam & Fiona Travers chose Phoenix Park
I chose this location for the proximity to the city centre and of course the beautiful Victorian Redbrick lined North Circular Road. These properties are a feature of Dublin and are preserved by Dublin Council. The fact that the Phoenix Park and the Botanic gardens are within walking distances is an absolute plus, providing plenty of recreational activity. The Phoenix park is a wonderful asset just a few minutes walk away. So whether guests want to go for a jog or a walk or visit the Zoo this is the perfect place to do it. A wonderful place to unwind and relax and one of my favourite places to visit. Bike hire is available here also. Numerous pubs, restaurants are within walking distance and I feel that the house provides a sense of character and charm not matched by modern buildings and houses. Local coffee shops, restaurants and bars are all located within 10 minutes walk and are a wonderful way of sampling Dublin life all within easy reach. It's a mainly residential area and has every facility necessary to provide guests with a comfortable stay. There is a supermarket located just 3 minutes walk away that is open late and there is an excellent bus service right outside the front door which will transport guests to the city centre within 10 minutes.
What makes this Apartment unique
There are a number of benefits to staying in this property. Located close to the heart of the city of Dublin there is an excellent transport system by bus and light rail that means all of the sights can be visited with the minimum of fuss. The building itself is a beautiful Victorian property that has unique charm while offering all the modern comforts that a guest could expect. The location is ideal as it is quiet and peaceful while being convenient to all shopping, sights, transport, museums etc. that makes a holiday enjoyable. Located beside the Phoenix park which is Europe's largest urban park the traveller can have a taste of the country while still remaining in the city. There truly is something for everyone.

Cozy and had all we needed
After the initial surprise of how small it was, we got used to moving around in the small space and found places for all of our stuff. Up a few stairs to the bathroom but it was More than adequate.
Great location, clean and comfortable.
We enjoyed our stay. Phoenix Park was very close to everything.
Our room was a little smaller than we had expected but was clean and had everything we needed. Liam and Fiona were very helpful and gave us lots of information about the area. If we had any questions or problems they would respond to our texts right away. Would recommend there apartments to others.
Thanks for your review Cynthia
We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay.
Hope to see you soon again.

Very pleasant stay
The apartment is small!! Very!! However there isn’t anything lacking that you would require. Extremely clean! Location is about a 20 minute walk from the city centre, not a problem for us as we like walking, however there is a bus more or less on the doorstep into the city should you not want to walk. Phoenix park including Dublin Zoo (excellent!) is less than a ten minute walk away. There are loads of lovely restaurants/pubs/cafes within a 5-10 min walk as well as two supermarkets, Tesco and Lidl. Wouldn’t be a good recommend for any older person as the apartment is located on the top floor of a three storey building, other than that good value for money as when you are staying in a city like Dublin the time you spend in your accommodation is limited so why pay extortionate city centre hotel prices!
The flat was great! Great location, quiet, clean, and safe.
The Sean O’Casey was lovely. Comfortable and sweet. Great location. Easy walk or ride to town. Food and other amenities close by. I’d definitely stay here again!
Fiona and Liam are approachable, flexible and very accommodating. Garry was a fantastic chauffeur and tour guide. Would for sure stay again. Walk to downtown totally worth it.
Thanks Keary for your wonderful review.
Enjoy the rest of your trip and hope to see you back at Glencourt sometime in the future.
All the best

This street is mainly residential, beautifully tree lined and runs right up the the entrance of the Phoenix Park.
This park is the largest urban park in Europe and houses Dublin Zoo and the presidential home and offices as well as a children's playground. It is a wonderful park to visit and spans over 1750 acres.
