We love the beautiful Gulf Coast and what better place to enjoy it than Steinhatchee Florida.
The two separate private units make this property ideal.
This was a great place to stay! We had 4 couples and had plenty of room. Close to everything. Will be returning next year.
It was a nice little place, very convenietly located. It did sleep five guys, however two had to sleep together, and one on the couch. Quaint little place, however it was not cleaned very well at all. There were dead bugs all over the house. The coffee pot had not ever been even rinsed out, along with a lot of the other kitchen utensils being dirty. When we woke up the second morning the house had an infestation of large ants running everywhere. Overall for the cleaning fee of fifty dollars that wasn't mentioned until after booking that had to be left in cash on the table was actually used for cleaning it'd be nice!
Angler's Hideaway was perfect for the nine of us on our spring break. We rented both the top and bottom parts of the house, which fit us all comfortably. The kitchens were fully stocked with all the appliances we needed, and we had so much fun cooking (and grilling) and eating around the fire or on the upstairs porch. There are plenty of trees around the house where we hung our hammocks and got some relaxing time in. Mary was so sweet recommending places to go and to get fresh fish. The beach we went to was almost all to ourselves, very quiet, with lots of wildlife. We went to a cove in the Wildlife Management Area. The drive was beautiful and we got more scenery than typical Florida beaches. One night we got fresh fish from Kathi's Krabs-- both the women we worked with were accommodating and so friendly! Great trip for someone looking for a quiet getaway.
My weekend at Angler's Hideaway was great especially the relaxing atmosphere, comfort of the beds, the roominess, the available amenities, and all the adventures available in the area. The owners were most helpful and supportive during my stay there. It is a place full of adventures such as fishing, scalloping, boating, visiting beaches, and air boating. I look forward to another stay at Angler's Hideaway.
Angler's Hideaway is the great place for anyone who likes to scallop, fish, or just to relax and unwind! My husband, 3 older kids, dog, & I stayed there for scalloping and we really enjoyed ourselves. We rented the upstairs unit(which the kids really liked). They just loved the outdoor shower!!! It's not the newest place, but it is clean, has a full kitchen, and everything that you'll need. The beds are very comfortable. The living room is not huge, but it has a nice large outdoor screened room with lots of chairs, etc for plenty of people outside with a hammock to relax on.
I can't say enough great things about Mary, the owner. She is just such a pleasure to work with and so helpful! Among other things, she gave us multiple marina names & phone #'s near by to rent a boat for scalloping. We are really looking forward to staying here again, the next time we go to Steinhatchee!
What a memorable experience! My family and friends went there for a long weekend and loved it! The place has it all. Location is ideal because it's very close to the boat ramp and restaurants. The house was really clean, functional and the kitchen was fully furnished making it easy to prepare meals. I also loved the outside shower...super convenient after scalloping! They're dog-friendly which made Abby, the golden retriever, happy. :) Definitely going back!
