After living in Lexington, Ky for 35 years we have retired to the farm and I wouldn't dream of going back to the city. I just love the life that this farm has offered me.
Caron Tucker purchased this cottage in 1900
We had an amazing couples getaway at this country gem on the bourbon trail. The Tucker farm was absolutely beautiful and full of history. Caron and her husband were wonderful hosts and even gave us a private tour of the homestead. Our country cottage was very clean and comfortable and stocked with all the necessities. Caron graciously provided us with country ham and biscuits which were delicious!! I truly cannot say enough good things about our house and our hosts😊 would definitely recommend it and can't wait to stay there again!!
My mother, our dog and I had a wonderful stay at the Country Cottage. We arrived before the Kentucky Derby to relax and unwind and loved the peacefulness of our surroundings. The cottage was very nice and we loved the large living room with all of the windows. Caron Tucker was a wonderful hostess and she was so helpful with providing us ideas of where to travel for our daily road trips. We really appreciated having coffee available for us upon our arrival and the ham and biscuits were an extra special treat. The Cottage is close to Lebanon, Bardstown, and a hop skip and a jump over to Makers Mark. Such a serene location and comfortable accommodations provided here on the Tucker's beautiful farm. Just what the Doctor ordered. We just wished that we could have stayed a few days longer. We have already recommended the cottage to other travelers and we will be back again in the Spring if not sooner.
What can I say? The house was better than described, newly updated, comfortable, clean and welcoming. My wife and I were in the area to attend a dinner at Makers Mark and could not have had a better place to stay. We truly enjoyed the peace and quiet of the setting overlooking the Tucker farm. Caron has thought of everything, there was nothing that we wanted to make our stay pleasant that was not in the house. As others have stated the country ham and biscuits were a welcome breakfast treat, so much so that we found the smoke house and bought more. Location near many of the areas distillers make this a nice place to travel the Bourbon Trail. Would stay again and have recommended to others already.
Just returned home from a long weekend. Loved the house and the area, wish we could have stayed longer. House was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again. Loved the country ham and biscuits too!
We had a great long weekend staying at the cottage. The country ham and biscuits were a nice surprise Caron had in the fridge for us; it was the perfect start to a day on the bourbon trail. The house was clean, comfortable and perfect for our couples weekend in bourbon country. I would highly recommend this house to anyone visiting this beautiful part of Kentucky.
