This house is a gem. Spotlessly clean, in a good and safe location, close to bus stops and a subway station. If you prefer taxis, there's a main thoroughfare nearby. The first floor contains a huge, well equipped kitchen (with a small pretty deck out back) and a comfy living room. There's plenty of space to share. My upstairs bedroom was a perfect size with an excellent bed, and the connecting bathroom had a modern shower and a skylight. Hermia went out of her way to communicate with me and left a stack of guidebooks out as references. I highly recommend this place. It's perfect for visiting Columbia University, and traveling to Manhattan tourist destinations is super simple. You do need to be aware that there are flights of stairs with no elevator available. This is beautiful brownstone. Wonderful host and great room. The bedroom was large but my favorite thing about staying here was the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Gillian is wonderful host. Thank you so much!!!
This is a lovely apt just off Broadway at W. 152 St., very close to subway stations. We were greeted by the owner, given a tour of the property and help with locating groceries and restaurants in the area. The property owner was graciously available throughout our stay to answer questions. The apt. was well maintained. It is a beautiful brownstone home with four separate secure bedrooms. Guests share a lovely living room, dining room, kitchen and 2 bathrooms. I would recommend this apt. to friends and would plan to stay here again on my next trip to NYC
