Caboose 102 - This Caboose Cabin is set up on the rails, just as it was when it was rolling across the American countryside. You will find the Caboose furnished with a Queen Bed, Kitchenette, (coffee maker, microwave, and small refrigerator). The décor of this Caboose Cabin is a Victorian theme inside. Outside, you will be able to relax on the spacious deck. The deck is shaded and secluded. Wooded views surround the Caboose, providing privacy and creating an intimate setting.

Each Caboose has its own private drive which adds to your privacy. All considered, our Cabooses and Depot cabin are more secluded and private than most resorts… No other lodging in the area can compare to this unique experience. It is rare to see a caboose these days. By staying at Livingston Junction, you will become one of a handful of people who have actually spent the night in a caboose!

Additional features include, charcoal grill, small TV with DVD player (bring your favorite movies), private bathroom, shower, and outdoor seating.

Note - WiFi and Cable TV is not provided. We intend for you to relax with each other or with family while at the Caboose… then get out and enjoy Eureka Springs, Beaver Lake and Table Rock Lake, and all the attractions and entertainment available.

Cute, fun for overnight, but cramped and dated.

It's a caboose, so staying in it is somewhere between a houseboat and a camping trailer. It's cute as can be, very atmospheric. The problem is the conversion wasn't very well thought out. The AC unit is right by the bed (literally 2 ft away) and roars constantly. The bathroom is almost too small to turn around in. The kitchen takes up a quarter of the whole space but is still too small to be usable. So if you just want an atmospheric night in the hills and it's cool enough to not have the AC on you'll love it. For a longer stay I'd go somewhere more house-ish.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the review. If you want something different than a hotel, this is your place! It's an amazing escape and the layout takes the original features of the caboose into account and features them. Staying at the cabooses is an experience. It amazes me how many people have been coming back for nearly 20 years because the feel of a caboose in the woods is difficult to duplicate.
