A luxury cottage-style farmhouse located in The Peak Distrcit National Park with breathtaking, panoramic views of The Cheshire Matterhorn (Shuttlinsloe), The Roaches, moors and glorious pasture land. It is perfect for both families and groups that are looking for an 'escape to the country' experience. The farmhouse is very comfortable, spacious and well equipped, and there is a view from every window. There are more than 5 pubs very close by serving excellent food. Along with footpaths on the doorstep. The stunning Chatsworth House is just 35 minutes by car, and a stop off at the market towns of both Buxton and Bakewell is a must.

A range of supermarkets are between 15 and 20 minutes away in the market towns of Buxton, Leek, Macclesfield and Congleton. On-line deliveries are possible too.

The Wincle brewery and Blaze Farm ice-cream parlour and petting farm is just a few minutes away.

Travellers will simply fall in love with the beautiful limestone and gritstone cottages that are in abundance in the 'oh-so friendly' Peak District villages.

The accommodation includes:

On the Ground Floor:

A large double-sided sitting room with a double-sided wood-burning stove and TVs and music player. There are French windows that lead out onto a terrace with seating and lighting.

A large, cosy kitchen with dining for eight. There is a fabulous Rangemaster Induction range cooker. Two fridges, a dishwasher and lots of storage.

There is also a boot room with washer/dryer and freezer. This room is perfect for setting down all of your outdoor gear!

On the Upper Floor:

A king size bed in an ensuite room which has a large shower enclosure.

A double bed in an ensuite room which has an equally large shower enclosure.

A king size bed in a third bedroom, and a double bed in a fourth bedroom. These two bedrooms are served by a very large, delightful bathroom with has both a large shower enclosure and a slipper bath.

The house is over 200 squared metres, so there's plenty of space. Outside there is a very large garden/paddock for games or just sitting. Along with several terraced areas.

About The Owner

Melany and Simon are both keen outdoor enthusiasts. We have four grown up children and have always lived in or near the Peak District. We love to meet new people and share a passion for renting houses in beautiful locations. We adore our holidays in the Outer Hebrides with our children. We have been inspired by our holidays and have tried to incorporate this inspiration into this beautiful farmhouse.

The Owner purchased this house in 2010

Why The Owner chose Macclesfield

The Farmhouse is located in arguably the most beautiful area in The Peak District. There are glorious views from every window. The house is large and extremely comfortable with both a contemporary and traditional feel to it. There are more than 5 pubs close by serving excellent food. Supermarkets are between 15 and 20 minutes away in the market towns of Buxon, Leek, Macclesfield and Congleton.

What makes this house unique

The farmhouse is in a truly special location. The design of the farmhouse is such that there is an amazing view from every window, and there are lots and lots of windows! The South West area of The Peak Distict is relatively undiscovered, and this makes it a very special place indeed. However, there are 5 pubs, a brewery and an ice cream farm.

Stunning location, luxurious accommodation.

  • 5 of 5

We were made very welcome by our host, Melany and enjoyed seeing the friendly pets as we came and went.

Seven of us stayed for the weekend in this beautiful place which has superb countryside views in all directions. Everything provided was to a high standard and we were able to relax and feel very at home here. There was plenty of space throughout but at the same time it felt cosy and comfortable. The well equipped kitchen/dining room provided us with everything we needed and more! A highly recommended experience. Thank you.

Lovely house, well furnished and equipped. Great location, remote but not too far from civilisation.

  • 5 of 5

A lovely house, fully equipped kitchen and well thought out living space. Comfortable beds in very civilised bedrooms. landscape views from every window. Lovely and warm 24hrs despite chilly weather. The nearby rose and crown was a lovely friendly pub with excellent food.

Everything was 1st class and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Melany was very thoughtful and even provided toys for our little boy to play with which he loved.

What a perfect cottage!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a week including New year and what a week it was. The cottage made the holiday. The location, space and surroundings couldn’t have been better for a group of 6 adults and 3 young children. Everything in the cottage was of the highest standard too. I would love to stay here again.

Wonderful property!

  • 5 of 5

We’ve just got back from a weekend at Sparrow Greave Farm and had a fantastic time. We were four friends and we wanted a relaxed weekend in the countryside with enough space to cook, enjoy a glass of wine (or two!) and go on nice long country walks. The property didn’t disappoint. The kitchen was well stocked and was really nicely thought through for a holiday cottage. The wood burner was great and logs were left for us with easy fireligting facilities. The bedrooms were really luxurious and spotless. Our only criticism would be the opportunity for a slightly later check out on a Sunday.

Thank you for everything. We had a great time and will be back!
