Built in the 18th Century as part of Cesseras Chateau this former winery has recently been refurbished to a high modern standard while retaining the memories of days gone by. The spacious 3 Bedroom house is in a quiet street in the heart of the village, a short walk to the shop and bar. It has two secluded courtyards offering, privacy and shade throughout the day, which are ideal for a BBQ and for a long relaxing evening sitting under the stars sipping a glass or two of the great local wine. The private pool is great to relax in and cool down after a long day exploring the sights of the area. On the ground floor is a comfortable spacious lounge and dinner with French doors onto both courtyards. The fully fitted modern kitchen has all you will need to prepare your meals and on arrival you will find a welcome pack to start you off. Upstairs the 3 bedrooms have been put together with your comfort in mind. The large en-suite master bedroom has a King size bed while the second and third rooms have a Queen and two singles. All of them have comfortable mattresses and crisp white cotton bed linin. There is a family bathroom with power shower, toilet, sink. Wifi throughout the house lets you stay in touch. The house has all the comforts of home for a relaxing and memorable stay.
Cesseras is a small medieval unspoilt French village nestled in the lush vineyards of the Herault, Languedoc Roussillon within sight of the foothills of the Black Mountains between Carcassonne and Narbonne. Less than ten minutes’ drive from the Canal du Midi, Cesseras is a great base for exploring the area that has so much to offer the discerning holidaymaker. The area is ideal if you love walking or cycling as there are many trails locally, bike hire can be arranged. If it is water sport you are after the Mediterranean coast line, nearby Lac du Jouarres and of course the Canal du Midi will have what you are looking for. For the less energetic why not take in some of the wealth of history that this region has to offer. A visit to the medieval city of Carcassonne with its fairy tale turrets or more locally, Minerve the Carthar village set in a stunning gorge is a must. Summer time also sees an abundance of street markets across the region to wonder through and pick up fresh local produce.
