Funny, yet quiet and respectful.
Ann purchased this house in 2004
The quiet and sense of eternity only found in the desert.
5 miles to Route 66 boat launch, about 8-10 miles to Pirate's Cove boat launch.
If you are only staying one or 2 nights and you only have a couple of people in your party let me know and I maybe able to make an adjustment to the Property Damage Protection fee.
Inside the house was adequate . Outside was not exactly what the pictures show. In a neighborhood with many run down trailers and shacks. The mandatory insurance policy was odd especially since the place was not as nice as most we have stayed in other times.
We were checking out the area to see if we would like to spend a few winter months in Arizona. We chose this rental because it was pet friendly and Ann was prompt in returning our messages. The house was as described. I was impressed with the cleanliness. There were only two of us, so we only used the master bedroom, but there was room for several more people. The kitchen was supplied with sufficient plates, utensils, pans and etc. The area was quiet and peaceful. I am a geocacher and there were a lot of caches in the area. We would consider staying here again.
I've stayed here a few times now. For me and my group its usually a 1 or 2 night stay. The place is as described. The master bedroom sleeps 2 comfortably and has a nice shower and big closet. The guest room is nice and sleeps 1. There is a spare room with a Futon. The futon we used but its a little thin on the padding. Kitchen has everything you need and the washer and and dryer work good to. The TV room has a nice flat screen with enough channels to keep you entertained. The house over looks the Topock Marsh and is quite at night. Its about a 5 minute drive to town and about 10 minutes to the Colorado river. We will be back.
The property was as advertised. We only stayed one night on our way to the Grand Canyon, it was perfectly placed for a relaxing stay.
We were greeted by Cindy, a very friendly greeter who went over all the amenities of the property and shared with us some of the activities that were going on in town. The house was simple and clean. Ample room for people to sit and visit in the house. Would have been helpful to have a patio set of some sort on the covered patio that faced the river. Awesome view and very quiet in the morning but no place to sit. The property itself was can and maintained . Beds were clean and for the price point of the property were acceptable. Futon that doubled as sleeping location should really only be listed as a couch, very uncomfortable as a sleeping bed. Kitchen was well appointed and we had many towels available in bathrooms. Owner was quick to respond with answers to questions and prompt.
We enjoyed our 45 days at Ann's Topock, AZ house. The house was clean and bright, lots of good sunshine!!!
It was well furnished with everything we needed, including kitchen and bathroom items.
The owner brought a nice big flat screen TV when we first arrived. We really appreciated that, as our "senior"
eye site has trouble with the small TV that was in the house. We enjoyed visiting with the owner while he was
installing the TV. The yard is fenced which was a great plus for our Border collies.
There was a very nice covered patio, where we could enjoy the warm AZ days, cool nights, watch the stars and
we had a great view of the Marsh and the numerous birds in the area.
Ann was very helpful an pleasant to work with, quick to return e-mails and answer questions.
The small town of Topock had everything we needed, gas, post office, library, hair salon, groceries and
2 restaurant/bars ( Both had good food!!!)
The Locals are very friendly and there are many activities going on daily at their Community Center
We will definantly tell friends and family about how much we enjoyed the house and the area!!
Thank you for a good "Snowbird" Vacation !!
