La Grange is a stylish, bright and characterful self-catering holiday home perfectly located for exploring by car, on foot or bike, three beautiful regions of southern France: the Tarn, the Tarn et Garonne and the Aveyron.

Set in a tranquil location outside a rural Occitan village, our accommodation is a modern barn renovation which can accommodate up to eight people in two double bedrooms and two super-king bedrooms (or two double and two twin rooms). Each has an en-suite walk-in shower, sink and toilet. The barn is arranged all on one level.

There is a large open plan kitchen with range oven, farmhouse sink, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. In the same open plan area is a large dining and living space with wood burner for winter nights and a large window and beautiful south-facing views. A television with UK satellite channels is available as is a Blueray DVD and media Player along with plenty of DVDs. Underneath the barn is a storage area for guests' cases, bikes etc as well as a washing machine.

Outside the main entrance is a large, oak sun deck with outdoor table and chairs for dining al fresco with views of the surrounding countryside. The deck overlooks the enclosed, exclusive use swimming pool area which has pool loungers and a pool robot to keep the pool free from leaves. There are also large grassed garden areas to enjoy, a small woodland with plenty of wildlife (deer, red squirrels and birds) and ancient bridle paths to explore. Please note the pool is closed for winter from October to May.

Our nearest village of Espinas is peaceful and quiet and a lovely place to stroll around, but there are no shops, however we are only ten minutes drive from the Boulangerie, cafes, restaurants and shops of historic Saint Antonin Noble Val, a medieval gem on the Gorges D’Aveyron, or if you'd prefer, the quieter village of Verfeil sur seye or the ancient town of Caylus.

A truly memorable holiday
We have just spent the most fabulous fortnight at La Grange, As Plos. It’s a beautiful spot close to one of our favourite towns in France, Saint Antonin Noble Val. The lovely owners have created a very comfortable and well equipped gite, with the most glorious pool. They live discreetly next door but were always on hand if we needed them. They were also full of great suggestions for things to see and do, of which there are plenty! We wouldn’t hesitate to return for another holiday.

Fantastic spacious barn with great hosts in an amazing location
We have just spent the most amazing week at the barn. 4 adults and two teenagers. The barn is spacious and extremely well equipped and has been renovated to an extremely high standard. The pool is fantastic and big enough to house all the inflatables we bought with us including a pink flamingo ( sorry to have lowered the tone!). We were recommended to visit the Sunday market in St Anonin, the night market at Najac, the Thursday evening food van in Espinas and the canoeing and we’re so grateful as all events were fantastic and the Thursday night food van gave us an insight into the lovely community feel of the area. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking to book. We wish Marcus, Charl, Jim and Mel every success in the future and hope to be back soon to see you and your growing family. Thanks for a great week. Rob, Lisa & Abbi Langley. Mark, Anthea and Joe Bowkett. Shrewsbury PS. I’m sure as well as being remembered for the pink flamingo we will also hold the title for the only set of guests to need a ladder - but thats another story!!! Cheers all xxx

An idyllic setting with fabulous pool and villa!
We enjoyed our time this summer at As Plos. It was a perfect set up for 3 generations of our family to stay under one roof. The pool is wonderful, the bedrooms each have their own ensuite which is a real bonus, everything you need is provided for you. It really allows you to have a relaxing and peaceful holiday with many lovely places to visit nearby when you can drag yourself away from the lovely villa and pool. I highly recommend a stay here. I hope we get to return in the future. You will receive a warm welcome upon arrival and you can see the careful thought and attention to detail that has gone into this lovely villa.

FAB U LOUS, property to a high standard, beautiful views, great pool.
This is a fantastic barn conversion and made our family holiday a special one. A lot of hard work has been done here to ensure that this property is a cut above the rest. All rooms are of good size and all en suites work well and all showers are fantastic giving everyone that bit of privacy they need. There is a good supply of mains pressured hot water very important with 4 girls and 2 lads to worry about. The kitchen, dinning and lounge area work well allowing continual family fun and banter whilst cooking etc. There is loads of room on the upper deck for those awesome breakfasts, lunch and evening meals whilst enjoying the weather a good drink and beautiful views. The lower deck gives good shade should you want to escape the sun for a while and the hammocks are a great touch. The icing on the cake here is the pool and pool area, it really is fantastic and without it it would be unbearable as temperatures hit the high 30's and even 41 on one day. We loved this place and would certainly love to return subject to availability. Its very private, very peaceful and certainly idyllic. The wildlife around the pool area and barn was fantastic, we have never seen so many butterflies and the moth bees were amazing as was the largest grass hoppers we've ever seen. The Dragon Flies were beautiful and we loved watching the Lizards warm their little feet up in the sun. Everything you need is here, even a dog that will lick you death especially if you throw a ball for her, (Lolly) Charlotte, Marcus, Mel and Jim, thank you for a fantastic holiday we love and will certainly miss you guys. Thank you for allowing us space but also for being there when we needed any help or advice, you have all worked so hard and we wish you all the best for the future. Your home is beautiful and I'm sure your business venture will go from strength to strength. Mel and Jim congratulations on your new born baby what a lovely place for her and her cousin Amide to grow. (Charlotte & Marcus hope we've spelt that right) Best Wishes and Kindest Regards, Andy, Tanya, Luke, Emily, Miya, Lauren and Hayden.

We live, work, run cycling holidays and self catering accommodation all here in beautiful south-west France. Sometimes we even enjoy the local food, wine and beer!

Why they chose this property

After holidaying in this area we were struck with how beautiful and yet largely unknown this region is. It offers it all, with the dramatic landscapes of the Saint Antonin gorge, the vineyards of Gaillac to the picturesque medieval bastide villages of Cordes sur Ciel, Puycelsi and Najac. With peace and tranquility on our doorstep yet with opportunity to take part in lively festivals, markets and village gatherings, we felt it was the perfect place to to live and raise a family. Our property is in easy reach of all essential amenities and the fantastic tourist sights of the region, yet it is completely rural with only the distant sound of tractors and cows! Our barn has been renovated to a high standard and each room has it's own en-suite making it perfect for shared family, groups of friends or couples wanting to holiday together. And, for when it's hot (and does it get hot!) there's the pool to re-energise in!

What makes this property unique

-The stunning views from the barn and terrace overlooking the country side and private walled pool area
- Star gazing or sunbathing on the terrace
- Opportunity to walk or cycle straight from the door or to explore the local countryside and walking routes
- Bird or nature watching from the living room!
- Huge alfresco dining area to share meals with family and friends
- Traditional and quaint on the outside but with luxury and modern finishings and fittings on the inside .
- Annual summer festivals in the local village and surrounding villages
- Summer night markets
