A 140 sq. meter rental with fantastic terraces at an historic address in the Albaicin, facing the Alhambra Palace . . . this astounding 1-bedroom rental features 2 fireplaces, 2 bathrooms, air-jet tub, and both front and rooftop terraces, with drive-up access. An extremely large gourmet kitchen with 2 cooktops, granite countertops, and a huge island completes the picture. WiFi and Telefonica television, walk to bars, restaurants, and flamenco tablaos in minutes. The entire place is finished with handmade tiles and stone.
The ground floor houses the living room, kitchen, full bathroom (shower), walk-in closet, and foyer. The living room has a flat-screen TV, sofabed, table, desk, and romantic fireplace. Three French doors open onto a large marble terrace planted with orange, cypress, pomegranite, and other trees. View the Alhambra and Generalife palaces from the terrace and living room. The terrace is one story above street level for great privacy.
Climb the green granite staircase to the 2nd story master bedroom, which occupies the entire floor. Three French doors lead to balconies featuring fantastic views over the Albaicin to the Alhambra palace. A second romantic fireplace, 2 large armoires, and more windows complete the picture. Another staircase goes up from the master bedroom to a private rooftop terrace, again with breathtaking Alhambra views. The large master bath has a double sink, air-jet tub, and separate shower. The bathroom is finished in black slate, and it too has Alhambra views over a beautiful bouganvilla bush.
The kitchen is extremely spacious and has windows onto an inner patio. In addition to the 2 cooktops, the kitchen has 2 sinks, an oven, dishwasher, and refrigerator. Dine at the kitchen island or in the living room.
This lovely house has the best, broad views of the Alhambra Palace in the historic quarter, lots of space, and features drive-up access, a rare quality in this ancient neighborhood.
Thank you so much for making this house available. We are more than comfortable. The house is amazing and exactly what I was looking for. It a close to perfect place to stay and work. I stayed in a couple of house in Albaicin over the last few years, but no of the other comes close to your house.
This house was incredible. It was very spacious, modern with views of the Alhambra and Generalife. The best of all was the garden terrace where I spent time drinking tea or coffee and reading. It is so peaceful. The views from the upstair terrace or the bedroom balconies are amazing especially at night! It felt like a true refuge from the beautiful but bustling town of Granada.
We spent a month in Granada (first time) and had many great experiences with that much time. Charles was very responsive and kind and I had no issues with his communications, whatsoever. Helpful and good at answering questions, coordinating arrival, etc.
The house, honestly, needs work. Not too much work, either. In our opinion, just going through and tidying up the little maintenance issues would pop this home to another level.
Pros: Location was great, quiet, lovely views, tucked into Albaicin, close to everything you would want. Kitchen is huge, and the upper bedroom & bathroom are also large. The sitting room was cozy and warm with the fireplace.
Cons: The place had a thick layer of grime and dust all over every surface, save bathrooms. Terrace was loaded with debris. There was a strange smell that stayed with the house the entire time - not rotten, but almost chemical-like. Blankets for bed were dusty and dirty, didn't want to use them. Broken lamp shades in bedroom, lights all over home that did not even work or had missing bulbs. There were no keys or working locks to actually secure the main house once past the entry gate. It may be a safe area, but still unsettling to know we could never secure the property, nor would the door secure at the top terrace level. Only part of the property was open for our access, the rest was locked off and seemingly not in use at all. Plants throughout looked like they were suffering and hadn't been tended to.
It was disappointing to have so many things to comment on about this property, because it really does have potential. Simple things, minimal energy and investment would perk this place right up. The house needs some love.
Having stayed in Granada several times, we were delighted to find this beautiful, spacious house in the Albaicín. With stunning views from the two terraces and the bedroom it was an totally enchanting place. The house has everything you might need with a huge kitchen and relaxing lounge. Just 10 minutes walk from town centre, and in the midst of the historic village, the location was perfect. We will definitely want to stay here again when we are next visiting Granada.
Our 6-night stay was perfection. The house is much larger than we thought it would be, with tons of indoor and outdoor space. We have stayed in the Albayzin before, and this rental was far superior, not at all cramped. Everything was sparkling, and the person who let us in was right on time, meeting us at the door. The location is perfect for exploring the UNESCO Heritage Site. We walked to a flamenco show one night, and walked to the Alhambra in about 1/2 hour. Bars and restaurants are nearby. The master bedroom is almost too big, with a very comfortable bed and fantastic bathroom finished in black stone. There are views othe Alhambra from everywhere!
We looked at a lot of Albaicin rentals before choosing this one, and were not disappointed. Most rentals are tinty and hard to acess; by contrast this place was bursting with space, especially the bedroom and the kitchen. Very tastefuly decorated. We loved the terraces with views of the Alhambra that take your breath away!
This house in the upper Albayzin has everything you could want--Alhambra views, terraces, and loads of space. We could walk to local bars and shops quite easily, and even walked to the Alhambra Palace entrance in about 25 minutes. You can drive up to the rental, which really helped for unloading our bags without hassle. The bedroom is amazing, with wonderful balconies and a private rooftop terrace.
Located at an historic address in the historic old Arab quarter, you can walk to multiple restaurants, cafes, historic sites, and shops.
