Idyllic village house of modern construction using traditional Provencal architecture in select 'lotissement', overlooked by Les Alpilles, yet within walking distance of the centre of celebrated St Remy de Provence. Set in a private garden with its own swimming pool , terraces and garage, the air conditioned bastide comprises on the ground floor a large bright 'sejour' with vaulted ceiling for living and dining, bespoke fully equipped German kitchen, the master bedroom with en-suite shower room, and cloakroom. The feature ceramics and stone continue with a staircase to the first floor comprising two twin bedrooms, bathroom and wc. Wooden deck area to the rear overlooks the private wooded garden ground, a shady spot for outside dining. South facing, the 1/5 acre garden grounds have been professionally landscaped blending natural materials to maximise the enjoyment of outdoor living. The lotissement benefits from secure gated entrance for maximum privacy.

The house was everything that we wanted and more. It was absolutely perfect for our family of 5 - parents and 3 offspring aged 21 , 19 and 16. It is without doubt the best equipped property we have stayed in for a very very long time. We were very fortunate to have 2 weeks of unbroken glorious weather and as a result we found it very difficult to drag ourselves away from the garden and pool. We loved taking breakfast and lunch on the back terrace and after a few days even got used to the noise of the crickets! There were so many good and reasonable restaurants in St Remy that we only ate in once or twice but the kitchen was very well equipped if I had felt inclined to cook.



Angeline was very helpful.



We would thoroughly recommend both the house and the area. We were last in S/R in 1991 when we had had a fab time. We were a little apprehensive about returning but we needn't have worried, it is still such a lovely area to spend time in.



We hope to return sometime.

Great house, nice town, lovely weather

Really well designed and built house. We had a wonderful time and hot!! Would go back in a heart beat. Only downside is it is not easy to find but once there we didn't want to leave.

A beautiful house in stunning surroundings.

The house was very welcoming with gorgeous interior and plenty of room for all the family. The gardens and pool area are beautifully maintained. We had an amazing family holiday - so relaxing. A short walk to the centre of town with plenty restaurants to choose from. An all round great experience.

Perfect location, beautifully furnished and equipped - 6 star really!

Exceptional and comfortable base from which to explore this incredible part of France, the historic centre of St Remy is an easy and flat walk, with more than 100 fantastic restaurants and bars we would have loved to be here much longer! We really enjoyed walking from the villa along the Van Gogh trail, to the roman village at Glanum - stunning place and so well preserved and presented.

Just back from wonderful evening in Avignon, 20 minutes away, after a super meal we visited the 'Palais des Papes Light Show', it was superb. As was the towns of Nimes, Arles and Aix - we really enjoyed a trip to Cassis on the coast which is in easy reach.

Most of all we loved the villa, and its very private garden with pool, great for relaxing over lunches with the best of local cheese, wine, and fruits and very long dinners under the trees on the rear decking - quite magical.

Beautiful house in a stunning part of France

We had a fantastic stay, the house is beautifully decorated and has everything that you would want! It had 2 lovely outdoor seating areas, one gets the sun in the morning and the other in the afternoon which was great. On top of that another area for sun loungers to do a spot of sunbathing. It was a great location, just a short walk to Saint-Remy town centre, where there was a huge abundance of restaurants to choose from. We absolutely loved and stay here and would definitely come back!

Situated in the heart of the Alpilles, historic St Remy is one of the 'must sees' of Provence. An idyllic village built on one of the oldest archaeological sites in Europe, surrounded by lush, verdant and scented valleys, its ancient streets are lined with beautifully restored old houses. Strolling through the narrow streets brings you to delightful old fountains, shady squares, welcoming restaurants and elegant boutiques. The beauty of the countryside and the quality of the light has inspired many artists writers and painters. Without doubt the most famous was Vincent van Gogh who produced more than 150 painting all inspired by St Remy. You can walk to the very same places and discover the mountains, fields of wheat and wild flowers, olive trees, and cypresses - all just as it was more than a century ago. Your bastide is only ten minutes walk from the centre of St Remy. A short drive from St Remy takes you to an array of Roman towns, wild Camargue landscapes and Luberon villages.
