Idyllic village house of modern construction using traditional Provencal architecture in select 'lotissement', overlooked by Les Alpilles, yet within walking distance of the centre of celebrated St Remy de Provence. Set in a private garden with its own swimming pool , terraces and garage, the air conditioned bastide comprises on the ground floor a large bright 'sejour' with vaulted ceiling for living and dining, bespoke fully equipped German kitchen, the master bedroom with en-suite shower room, and cloakroom. The feature ceramics and stone continue with a staircase to the first floor comprising two twin bedrooms, bathroom and wc. Wooden deck area to the rear overlooks the private wooded garden ground, a shady spot for outside dining. South facing, the 1/5 acre garden grounds have been professionally landscaped blending natural materials to maximise the enjoyment of outdoor living. The lotissement benefits from secure gated entrance for maximum privacy.

The house was everything that we wanted and more. It was absolutely perfect for our family of 5 - parents and 3 offspring aged 21 , 19 and 16. It is without doubt the best equipped property we have stayed in for a very very long time. We were very fortunate to have 2 weeks of unbroken glorious weather and as a result we found it very difficult to drag ourselves away from the garden and pool. We loved taking breakfast and lunch on the back terrace and after a few days even got used to the noise of the crickets! There were so many good and reasonable restaurants in St Remy that we only ate in once or twice but the kitchen was very well equipped if I had felt inclined to cook.

Angeline was very helpful.

We would thoroughly recommend both the house and the area. We were last in S/R in 1991 when we had had a fab time. We were a little apprehensive about returning but we needn't have worried, it is still such a lovely area to spend time in.

We hope to return sometime.

Villa was excellent, close to the idyllic town of Saint-Remy-De Provence, although you definitely need a car. We had a small party of 2 adults and 1 child which meant that we had bags of room, but the villa could comfortably cater for 6 adults. The local hypermarket was superb, great BBQ and sea food with very drinkable wines at €3! We basically stayed at the Villa for the whole week. On the negative side, I'd say that the decking area needs some work as there were a few loose planks and the pool was over chlorinated. Owner very friendly when we got lost en-route to the villa which was good as the local lady was not so helpful. That said, we'd definitely go back, the weather was superb pretty much every day and my son learnt how to swim.

Owner's Response: So pleased that that the villa was as good as you expected. St Remy is 1km from the house so that can be too long for very young children.

Beautiful Villa, Highly Recommended.

My family spent an idyllic holiday at this villa in 2009, we found the standard of furnishings and fittings to be of the highest quality. Most of our time was spent in the lovely garden and in the pool, it was all fantastic. St Remy is perhaps the most attractive of small towns in Provence, it was a reasonably flat walk to all of the splendid restaurants and attractions, the main thoroughfare is very fashionable, great for a coffee and people watching for an hour or so. The wider area is incredible, Arles, Avignon, Aix and Nimes are all easily reached as are beaches and the wonderfful Luberon region. Absolutely magic!
