Our home dates back to 1810 and is situated in Amberley, a quintessential and truly beautiful English village complete with tearooms and country pubs. Our home overlooks the wonderful Norman Amberley castle and was originally the village vicarage so we are situated next to a beautiful ancient Church.
The house is decorated in a wonderful mix of antique and contemporary furniture with all modern amenities. We were recently featured in English Homes magazine for the interior decor and country gardens ( which include topiary and stunning flower beds ). The garden also has a fabulous tree house ( which has two full size bunks inside for those who fancy abit of outdoor camping !) There is also a large lawn with football/tennis net for lots of outdoor games.
Our home is incredibly spacious with large entertaining rooms and spaces to relax. Big windows and lots of light in each room affords stunning views over the castle and the South Downs.
On the ground floor we have a large open plan high spec kitchen with all mod cons including a double oven, wine fridge, 2 large fridge freezers and a central seating island . The kitchen table seats 8 people. There is an additional dining table that seats 6 in our formal 'blue' panelled lounge. We have a games room complete with pool table and a more relaxed playroom with large screen TV and toys/board games.
The first floor has a master bedroom suite with large walk in wardrobe and spacious en suite bathroom with clawfoot bath and rain shower. There are a further two bedrooms both with double beds and a single trundles underneath. Seperate bathroom complete with walk in shower and large bath.
The 2nd floor has two further spacious double king bedrooms with a separate bathroom with large shower and bath. There is also an office complete with gym equipment and a further pull out large single sofa bed.
Amberley village has a train station with a direct train line in central London in 1 hour and 20mins. The surrounding area has the famous Goodwood estate, Arundel castle, Chichester cathedral city and Seaside towns such as Brighton and Littlehampton. We are located in a conservation area in the stunning South Downs national park so there are many walks and bike rides available straight from our front door.
Please do get in touch if you are looking for a simply stunning location to base your trip we know you will love Church House and all it has to offer.
