About Carol And Rod Christ

This home is our escape from real life in Houston! We fell in love with Teton Valley in 2007 while skiing with friends. We returned in the summer of 2008 and quickly realized that summers in Teton Valley were nothing more than Majestic. At that moment we decided this was the place for our second family home, and quickly purchased this property. We invite you to come and experience the "Magic" of Teton Valley, our families favorite place!

Carol And Rod Christ purchased this cabin in 2008

Why Carol And Rod Christ chose Driggs

This house screamed "Family" the minute we turned in to the drive. The lusciously soft bright green bluegrass, fluttering aspen leaves and blooming flowers were amazing. We loved that our boys could have a yard, their own private space downstairs, an exceptional game room in garage and endless mountain adventures. A place where lifetime memories are made.

What makes this cabin unique

While the house boasts private spaces for all, the most unique feature is the wonderfully spacious and naturally shaded lawn. There are many summers where we find ourselves doing nothing more than breathing crisp cool mountain air, while sitting in the Adirondacks under a very mature Aspen Grove. Come and see for yourself!

Enjoyed Our Stay

  • 5 of 5

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this Driggs, ID home. The house was in a great location for Grand Teton and Yellowstone, was very clean, and rustically decorated. The appliances were modern and functioned perfectly. Communication from the owner / property manager was prompt and accurate. This was a great value for our family of 7 and we would definitely stay there again!

Comfortable home away from home

  • 5 of 5

We had a very enjoyable stay at the home in Driggs, ID. It is ideally situated within easy driving distance to Grand Teton National Park and Jackson, WY. The home is very comfortable, both inside and out, with all the amenities necessary for a relaxing stay. The owners are very welcoming and responsive to any requests as is the local property manager. We highly recommend this property for couples or families who are vacationing or skiing in the area.

Perfect Week. August.

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying at Wydaho. We had a week of activities planned out, and soon came to find that we wished for more time just to hang out here. Our family of the two of us, 3 grown sons, a daughter-in-law, and a girlfriend made a lot of good memories here. We went to Grand Tetons 3 times and Yellowstone once. These were all pretty long drives (an hour+ to GTNP and 2.5 to Yellowstone) but we felt it was worth extra driving to have space to spread out. The house and neighborhood are so quiet and safe that we enjoyed every minute here. We watched a meteor shower by the fire pit, played ping pong in the garage, enjoyed meals on the deck and soaks in the hot tub. We also enjoyed just hanging out in the yard, soaking up the sun and enjoying the cool breezes. Driggs offered some great activities as well. Our sons enjoyed fishing in the area and we loved our kayak trip down the Teton where we saw a moose grazing in the river! Thanks Gary and Teton River Supply. Thanks to a great recommendation from Carol, we enjoyed yummy pizza at Wildlife Brewing Company in Victor and a terrific burger at The Brakeman Grill. The grocery store in town, Broulims, was great for meals at home. We ended our trip with a ride on the chairlift up the mountain at Targhee Resort for summit views of the Tetons. Spectacular! Carol was great to work with and always responsive and accommodating. The house is a home for families, stocked with most everything you could possibly want for a terrific vacation. We miss it already!

Great Trip

  • 5 of 5

Location is great for national parks and hikes. We were mostly on the run to the parks and attractions but the house was great when were there. We enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub, horseshoes and game room. We went whitewater rafting, rode the ski lift up the mountain to hike down, and hit a few of the many trailheads. We had 4 couples in the house and it worked out well. The week went by fast and there was so much more that we wanted to do. Owners were fast to respond to any questions or issues.

Relaxing! Beautiful! Fun!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this sweet mountain house nestled in the valley. When we arrived, there were a nice hand-written note of welcome and a bottle of wine waiting for us with the key on the kitchen table. We thought the family room was cozy and inviting with big comfortable couches, windows on three sides, and an old-fashioned stove to warm up the room. There is also a basement family room for the kids if they want to watch their own movies while the adults are upstairs or vice versa. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with more dishes and cookware than I have ever seen in any VRBO house, plus dish towels, dishwasher soap, trash bags, paper towels, and even coffee and tea. The bedrooms were comfortable and fitted with nice pillows and linens and plenty of storage space, and all of the bathrooms had fresh clean showers and were brimming with fluffy towels and bath mats. There is a bright new laundry room to use during a week's stay, and you'll definitely want to soak in the outdoor hot tub. The house is spotless and warmly decorated with lots of cute pictures of the owners and their children displayed throughout, which makes you feel more like you're there as a special guest rather than an anonymous renter.

The little town of Driggs (and also the nearby town of Victor) was a wonderful surprise too--replete with all of the main street amenities you'd expect in a small town close to ski slopes, including coffee shops, an art gallery, souvenir shops, a soda fountain, a Friday farmer's market, and several good restaurants where you can enjoy a nice meal and glass of wine on the porch. It's an easy drive from Driggs to Jackson Hole, Targhee Resort, Grand Teton National Park, and Yellowstone National Park. Whether you want to sightsee, shop, hike, or just relax and look at the mountains from the deck, you won't go wrong with the Wydaho Camphouse. We can't wait to go back!
