LIFT FROM GROUND FLOOR TO FIRST FLOOR CURRENTLY OUT OF SERVICE. GUESTS MUST WALK ONE FLIGHT OF STAIRS TO SECOND FLOOR TO CATCH LIFT TO THE 5TH FLOOR.

Our bright modern penthouse flat in the Westbourne Grove area of Bayswater is a stone's throw from Notting Hill and Kensington in the heart of West London. It has a balcony and views overlooking historic Whiteleys. In the vicinity are endless shops, grocery stores and restaurants.

The location is ideal, 10 mins walk from Kensington Palace & Gardens, Hyde Park, Portobello Road Market, and Notting Hill Gate. 5 mins from Tube stations Royal Oak, Bayswater, Queensway, and Paddington.

THE SPACE:

This is a two-story penthouse flat on the 5th and 6th floors in a 1930s Art Deco style brick building, with the Master Bedroom and Bath upstairs and the second bedroom and bathroom downstairs.

The Master bedroom has 1 (UK) King size bed; the second bedroom has 1 double bed. Please note that a UK King is an American Queen size bed.

We also have a lovely patio with deck chairs to enjoy with views down the famous Queensway all the way to Kensington Gardens and a spanning view of the historical Whiteleys building, the oldest mall in London's history.

For your comfort the flat comes equipped with WIFI, a French press, microwave, hair dryer, electric kettle, clothes drying rack (in addition to a dryer) and dishwasher.

GUEST ACCESS:

The building is accessible via two different entrances - one on the main road (Queensway) and one on a residential road (Inver Court off of Inverness Terrace). Either entrance has access to either lift, but you may need to go to the other side of the building through the court yard.

You will be given 2 sets of keys.

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS:

The key handover will be done in person and will give you a chance to tour the flat and ask any questions. Your point of contact will be reachable by phone and/or text.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD:

The Bayswater/Notting Hill area cannot be beat for location, a mix of culture, relaxation, food/drink and shopping.

GETTING AROUND:

A 5 minute walk to Bayswater and Royal Oak tube stations and 7 minutes to Queensway. Bus stops are just steps away as well but you may find that you walk to many of the spots around town because it's so lovely and there's lots to see along the way. We recommend you download the Citymapper app to help you navigate London.

CHECK IN/OUT:

Check in is flexible - just let us know your estimated time of arrival.

Check out is at 1pm (but can also be flexible, depending on whether we have another guest checking in that day - please inquire)

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:

Please note that a UK King size bed is equivalent to an American Queen size bed. Also, BBQ'ing is not allowed on the deck.

Clean, well equipped and very convenient location

We enjoyed the very convenient location between 2 major tube stations. There were restaurants ,bakeries and supermarkets everywhere .The apartment was clean and well equipped . Bathrooms were very clean and had modern fittings , the kitchen had enough counter space to cook meals and the beds were comfortable. We stayed during the heatwave in London and a couple of bigger and more powerful fans would have made our stay more comfortable but overall it was a great property and I would definitely stay there again.

Great location and lovely flat

Sy was incredibly helpful. The flat was exactly as promised. It’s a short walk to the Bayswater train station. EVERYTHING you might need is just steps from the flat. Groceries, drug store, etc. I thought the restaurants close to the flat were a bit touristy so we ventured out to other spots for dinner. I will definitely stay here again.

Great apartment near Bayswater Underground

This is a great two bed, two bath apartment, with a balcony overlooking Queensway. It's a very short walk to the Bayswater Underground station. The neighborhood has a variety of restaurants, plus grocery, drug stores, and pretty much any thing you will need for your stay. We walked to the Portobello Road market one morning.

The apartment is well equipped with the kitchen essentials, plus a washer and drying rack (but not a dryer) if you want to do laundry.

The manager Prax was punctual and helpful.

The only downside is that it is not accessible to anyone with mobility issues. To access the apartment, you take the world's smallest elevator to the 4th floor, and then walk up one more flight to the level where the apartment is.

Owner's Response: Thanks for choosing to stay with us, John! You're right, it is probably the world's smallest elevator LOL. There is another one on the other side of the building that is slightly larger and more comfortable for taking up luggage. That one goes from ground to 5th floor. Welcome to Europe :)

Flat near Hyde Park

We loved the location of this flat.. right off Hyde Park. Tube is very close .. tons of restaurants and shops. Nice walk thru Hyde Park to Whole Foods.

Kitchen seemed to be stocked but we did not cook since there were so many restaurants near. I would recommend Arro coffee around the corner.

Nice master upstairs.. bedroom downstairs is very small( not a complaint since owner did tell us this) but probably better for family then 2 couples.

The owner Sy was so helpful.. gave us several suggestions that really made our stay a lot easier.
