Our Lenno Apartment in Period Villa Located Directly on the Lake. - Lenno is a home set in a sunny position in the heart of tremezzina, the most sought after area on the lake, is located directly on the lake and features four bedrooms and two bathrooms set over two levels.
Features include a lift located inside the apartment to access the bedrooms from the living room, lakeside living inside and out from the private and spacious terrace.
Four beautifully appointed air conditioned and spacious bedrooms with three bathrooms (one ensuite) The home can therefore sleeps up to eight guests.
The home is nestled within acres of parkland featuring a swimming pool, darsena private boat mooring and private parking.
As you would expect from a villa of this standing, the home as been tastefully appointed with only the highest qualities and furnishings at every turn.
The villa is accessed from a private remote control gate with a sweeping drive to the main entrance of the villa.
Steps inside the villa take you to the private entrance where the kitchen with all mod cons and lounge with views of the dramatic lake and mountain panorama lead to private lake view balcony with a large terrace for dining alfresco.
Four bedrooms are located over two levels. There is a lift inside the living room which takes you to the 2nd floor of the apartment or you can take the external staircase via the communal hallway to reach the main bedroom and bathroom level. The upper level, located on the top floor and therefore beneath the roof is where three of the four bedrooms are located with a fourth bedroom downstairs on the living room level.
Outside the home the vast garden parkland provide plenty of space to explore the grounds whilst you take in the wonderful lake and mountain scenery. For guests who wish to bring their own boat or hire one, a private boat mooring is available to our guests at the villa.
The home is set within the picturesque and authentic Italian village of Lenno which boasts all the amenities you need for a relaxing break amongst natural, unspoiled landscape, including a supermarket, pharmacy, beautiful bakeries, a gym and wine stores, boutiques and a weekly market every Tuesday. Lenno is home to Villa Balbianello arguably the most beautiful villa on the lake as featured in Star Wars and 007 Movies. Richard Branson also has a holiday home located close by. The ferry port located close to the villa accesses the whole lake including many of the popular more touristy villages. Living and working here we will be only to pleased to share our local knowledge and experience for you to enjoy local hidden gems and secret places the local Italians frequent including authentic restaurants, cafe and wine bars. We are also happy to source local wine and delicacies for you to enjoy on arrival from regional cheeses and extra virgin oil etc made here in the village as well as a private chef, bookings required ahead of arrival.

Fantastic stay

We went here with 3 grown ups and 4 kids at the end of June and had a fantastic stay. The location, grounds and views were nothing short of spectacular - pictures do them no justice. Lots of room for the kids to run around, a big clean pool to play in and generally a superb place for them to enjoy the outdoors. All areas were groomed, pretty and clean. Of note, the pool was not heated and at the end of a cold spring the water was too chilly for the grown ups, but kids were fine and thawed up in the heated outdoor shower. The whole area is fenced in and gated, so it is very private and secluded. We even used the private boat dock to get a water taxi to Villa Balbianello and Bellagio. The patio on the second floor was simply awesome for al fresco dining and relaxing. The apartment itself was spacious, clean, modern and well equipped. Large kitchen, washer/dryer etc. Beds were comfortable and we did not really miss anything. The upstairs floor has AC but not the downstairs (one bedroom / bathroom). This was not a problem during our stay. Of note is that the two floors connect via an elevator from the living room. The only stairs are in the hallway where one can access the other three apartments. This can be a bit impractical when traveling with young children. Gemma, the local property manager, was very helpful, courteous, responsive and easy to reach. She met us in Lenno and drove to the villa with us to give us all the required info, keys, remotes for the gate etc. As for the general area we thought it was great as well. Lenno is a couple of minutes away by car (10 minute walk) and had a very nice "boardwalk" with a few cozy restaurants, bars, gelato places and the things you expect from a lakeside village. It is pretty small though, but Bellagio and other hotspots are close. Villa Balbianello in the immediate are comes highly recommended. All in all it was everything we hoped for, and we will try make it back for sure.

Waking up right on the lake; bliss.

What a find on the water's edge! We enjoyed our stay on the lake last summer here in Como. The villa is located right on the edge of the lake so the position could not be more idyllic! Highlights included cooling off in the pool which we enjoyed to ourselves virtually every day, exploring this hidden gem that is called Lenno, relaxing on the private balcony and of course that view! The villa has been tastefully appointed with classic finishes and to a high standard and it was beautifully presented on arrival. It took only 10 minutes for us to reach the ferry and the village itself boasted a beach, supermarket and enough restaurants and bars to provide plenty of choice throughout our stay. We enjoyed trips to Bellagio and Menaggio although were glad we chose Lenno as a base as less touristy and americanised with lots of locals and a friendly atmosphere. We visited the Villa Balbainello here in the centre of Lenno where the James Bond film was shot I understand back in 2006 and hired a boat from Igor at Lido Di Lenno which where we enjoyed a picnic and took in many famous villas including Richard Bransons villa here in Lenno. It was nice to know we had friends in high places living close by! We will certainly be back at some point in the future.

A holiday to treasure forever.

We stayed here last summer and had a ball! The villa easily exceeded our expecations and the view was to die for. The home is perched on the lake and was just what the doctor ordered offering peace and tranquility so we could recharge our batteries. More pleasing still was that we had the pool to ourselves most of the time as the other apartments are only used when the owners are in town i understand so it was just like having our own private villa. Timewise it takes 10 minutes to walk to the ferry and the hub of Lenno, a pretty village with a hidden lakefront and a nice array of shops, restaurants, bars and supermarkets. A highlight of our stay was hiring a boat from Igor at Lido di Lenno and taking in the Villa Balbianello villa on the promontory which was especially a thrill my youngest who is a big fan of 007!! We used the ferry to get out and about so parked the car up inside the gated entrance for most of our stay. I would definitely return and have already recommended the villa to friends.

An amazing villa on Lake Como

We recently rented the Lenno villa for one week as part of a 50th birthday celebration. Our stay was nothing short of magical. From the location, the pristine grounds, the comfortable decor, the breathtaking views, the friendly and helpful management and the overall value, you’d be hard pressed to find a better option on Lake Como. This villa checks all the boxes. The villa is located in the village of Lenno, which is somewhat smaller than than the big three touristy areas of Bellagio, Menaggio, and Varenna. For our group, that was ok since we wanted to have the experience of living like Italians at our own lakefront villa. And we weren’t disappointed. Once inside the gated grounds of the villa, your vacation truly begins. The landscaping and architecture are spectacular. The lush green grass leads down to the lakefront balustrade and overlooks the most beautiful vista. To the right, you can just see Bellagio, to the left is Villa del Balbianello (probably the most visited villa on the lake and walkable from the villa), and all surrounded by soaring Alpine mountains. Oh, and there’s a pristinely sparkling pool right at your doorstep as if you needed more! Inside the villa is very comfortable but besides sleeping, most of our time was spent either eating/drinking on the outside patio, relaxing on the grounds in the chaise lounges, or touring the lake. Walking into the town of Lenno is just a short 10 minutes via a “greenway” path that keeps you off the main road. There are several excellent restaurants, a fabulous gelato shop, and the main ferry stop which makes getting to the other areas of the lake a breeze. We also rented a boat for two days from the shop that is literally next door to the villa (talk about convenient!). Also just have to mention that the management provided amazing service and helped with several special requests. They helped arrange a private chef to prepare dinner for us one night, they arranged airport transfers, and they booked dinner for us at an amazing restaurant that otherwise we would not have found. Upon our arrival we were met by Lorenzo who accompanied us to the villa and made sure we had everything we needed before handing us the keys. From start to finish, they were professional in every way. I know there are some benefits to staying in a hotel, but for our group the Lenno Villa was everything we could have hoped for and more. It was a perfect vacation!

Magnificent spot

Our family really enjoyed the week here. The apartment is spotless. The location is phenomenal. Views of Bellagio morning noon and dinner. Easy strolls into Lenno for dining gelato and walking. The Greenway of Lago di Como just outside the entrance made for great walks up the hillside. Boat rental right next door. The apartment layout is not super ideal for a large group. We were two families of 4. The only way between 3 bedrooms upstairs and main level is either the small elevator which opens into a bedroom or the central public staircase of the building. The kitchen could also use a few more items and the only coffee maker was a Nespresso machine which you cannot buy pods for locally. This is one of several units. Most are owned and not rented with weekending families from Milan. So midweek we had the whole compound to ourselves. The pool of course is spectacular and we swam in both that and the lake. Overall it’s hard to imagine a better location!

Lenno is definitely one of the prettiest villages on the lake. Ideally located to reach all major tourist villages in the heart of the golden triangle of the lake. There is a real local feel to the place. Meandering cobbled paths, a weekly market with superb local produce and seasonal ingredients, in additional to the pool at the home there is also a wonderful brand golden sand beach close to the villa here in Lenno with cocktail bar. Plus the famous greenway lakeside walkway runs right through the village of Lenno as one of the most scenic villages on the lake.

Authentic wine and cafe bars and superb home made gelateria to name just a few highlights.

The Villa Balbianello is located close to the home, famous for the scenery in 007's Casino Royale outing. No wonder famous neighbours such as Richard Branson have a home here in the village of Lenno.
