Peter & Eve
About Peter & Eve
Peter is from London and Eve from Southampton. We have lived in many places in the UK, Baddiley Hall was our 8th address in 13 years. We have traveled extensively at home and abroad and enjoy meeting people around the world and, through our rental, have them visit us.
Peter & Eve purchased this Chateau / Country House in 1999
Why Peter & Eve chose Nantwich
At the time of purchase Baddiley Hall had been neglected for many years and was in need of more than a little tender loving care. Choosing to move here was definitely heart over head but guess the house chose us. The house has now been extensively renovated both structurally and aesthetically. With our builder Eve planned, designed and oversaw the refurbishment, decoration and furnishing of every room (all 22). We enjoy living here and equally enjoy sharing it with our guests.
What makes this Chateau / Country House unique
We have uncovered many features that have been hidden for centuries and a visit from a descendant helped us identify both a name and a family crest. There has been a house on site since the time of the Domesday Book and the Ha Ha at the front of the house has been created from the original moat. The beams exposed in the West Wing reveal re-used oak window mouldings and carpenters marks.

Wonderful apartment in a beautiful country location
The apartment is enormous, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Set in rolling countryside and with a very large garden for two little boys to run around in, it’s a wonderful place for a family break. This was our second visit to the apartment and won’t be our last. Peter and Eve are very friendly and welcoming and on hand for anything you need. We love this apartment. Thanks very much Peter and Eve.
Thank you for staying with us we are pleased the accommodation met your requirements and look forward to welcoming you here again.
We had a lovely stay in this spacious historic apartment in the middle of the countryside.
I would happily recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Cheshire
Thank you Stuart we are pleased that you had a pleasant stay and hope to see you again.
Apologies for the very belated response we don't know what happened or why?
We had a most comfortable stay in spacious accommodation, which gave us complete privacy and had been renovated to a high standard, in keeping with its Tudor style.
Ideally situated for visits to the cities of Liverpool and Chester, both fascinating and unique - and Nantwich was a delightful surprise, with its Tudor buildings.
The milk, bread, butter, biscuits, coffee and tea provided for our arrival were also very welcome. We highly recommend the venue.
Thank you for your kind comments we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and visiting your chosen local attractions. It was a pleasure to meet you all and hope we are able to welcome you back some day.
I must be dreaming
I truly thought I was dreaming, everything was too good to be true. Peter and Eve made us feel like we were long lost family.
We so enjoyed listening to Peter and Eve give us details and history of the home. The décor in every room was 5 star....even the toilet paper was quality. But what impressed me more was the fact I had forgotten my travel documents in one of the rooms. Eve had Peter overnight it to me to the hotel we were staying at in London. Every document I needed to complete our trip was in that folder and they sent it to me!! You save this senior citizen!! thank you Peter and Eve for allowing us to stay in your home and truly hope to someday come back to the UK and we will book your home again!!
ding-bat from the USA
Thank you for your kind comments we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and the accommodation met your expectations. It was lovely to meet you all and pleased that your travel documents arrived in good time. We hope to welcome you again some time. Best wishes Peter & Eve
Beautiful West Wing Apartment
I booked West Wing Apartment due to attending a wedding at near by Wrenbury Hall. It was a simple search that made us come across West Wing Apartment and we couldn't have been more happier with the location. Once booked Peter emailed to tell me about the wedding package that they provide. Continental Breakfast and chauffeuring to and from the wedding. Another major bonus for us. On arrival we were greeted and showed around the amazing apartment (which is stunning). On the day of the wedding we ate a lovely breakfast which was already in the apartment for us and when it came time to attend the wedding, Peter drove us and then picked us up again at midnight. This took the stress and worry away from us as we are not from the area at all to find a taxi or for one of us to drive. I couldn't recommend this apartment more and especially if you are attending a wedding. I am now trying to think of reasons to go back. Many Thanks to Peter and Eve who were wonderful hosts.
Michelle thank you for your generous comments we are pleased that you had an enjoyable stay with us including attending the wedding. Thank you also for mentioning that the wedding/events package allowed you to focus on fully taking part and not having to worry about catering for yourselves. It's something we mention in our profile and always offer it if we know our guests are attending an event nearby. It's seldom requested so it's always good to get feedback on what we offer.
We hope you are able to return and look forward to welcoming you back.
Best wishes Peter & Eve
Wow, What a find!
This was fantastic place to stay for our golfing break. Perfect for two couples.
The accommodation was beautifully presented, very clean, well equipped and to a very high standard. Large double bedrooms with very comfortable beds. A peaceful and lovely location. We played golf at Hill Valley, Carden Park, Delamere Forest, Wychwood & Crewe, all less than 35 min's drive away. Peter & Eve were perfect hosts & very friendly. We will be going back and highly recommend.
Thank you Brian for your kind comments. We are pleased that your stay was comfortable and met your needs. Thank you also for letting fellow golfers have a sample of what's available in our area.
It was our pleasure to welcome you here. Thank you for leaving everywhere clean and tidy and we hope to welcome you again.
