A Total House: Offering Great Elegance, Comfort and Luxury
An ideal home from home for 2, 3 or 4 people visiting London.
An elegant, expertly designed and furnished Victorian Cottage, close to the centre of Muswell Hill, a popular enclave in North London. Only 6 miles from Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace and Big Ben, yet Muswell Hill has a tranquility cherished by its residents. Very popular with families, it has every amenity close to hand, shops, restaurants and an Everyman cinema.
The cottage, has been admired by all who stay there, with its well appointed Kitchen, complete with oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. The Kitchen opens on to a lovely Dining Room with overhead roof lantern, lending the room a delightful light and airy atmosphere. The cottage keeps cosy with underfloor heating. The Bathroom has a shower stall, and a separate bath too, for lovely pampering soaks. The comfortable Sitting Room has a TV and DVD player, WI-FI hub, and well stocked Book Shelves. A great space for four people to relax after a day's sightseeing, or simply to close the door and "chill out." Upstairs, the two equal sized bedrooms both have double beds, and generous sized wardrobes.
There is also a private, rear patio/garden where on warm summer evenings, you can enjoy an "alfresco" meal or glass of wine. Blissful!

About Kathy and John Wade
John and I love meeting people from all walks of life, from the world over. It gives us great pleasure to share the treasures and sights of London. A fantastic world capital city.
Why Kathy and John Wade chose Fortis Green
Staying in the cottage offers a unique experience. Built in 1840, the year Queen Victoria married Prince Albert. John and I have styled and designed the cottage, bringing the amenities up to 21st Century luxury standards. Our guests consistently praise the comfort and welcome the cottage gives to its visitors.
What makes this Cottage unique
Truly, from the moment you arrive and close the front door, the cottage instantly becomes your home from home. Not too big and not too small. Perfect, Goldilocks will love it here. Smart kitchen and dining room (complete with roof lantern overhead), cosy sitting room and two perfect, equal sized bedrooms. An ideal place to stay, whether to visit the Harry Potter Studios or the watch the Changing of the Guard.

A 5 day family sight seeing tour of London
The cottage is lovely, very clean and spacious, warm and comfortable.
We were there to see the sights of central London and therefore used it as a base for sleeping and a late night meal. It was also nice to have access to a small garden to sit out at breakfast time.
Our hosts were helpful and friendly.
Unlimited wifi appealed to our children.
Our only slight criticism is that there are not enough plates and glasses and no oven gloves.
Jane, Andrew and family were lovely guests. It is pleasure hosting such nice folk. Although the weather was not always the best, they really enjoyed their time in London visiting museums and galleries and much else. They enjoyed coming home to the cottage after a busy day's sightseeing, and we warmly invite them to return to us, on their next trip to London.
Loved this north London cottage
The host John was very informative and helpful in getting us settled in. The cottage was spotless and nicely decorated. It is lovely and has everything you would need. The location was great as well, in a nice village that is easily walkable.
The property was ideal, in fact it was perfect!
A great location, Muswell Hill is family friendly and peaceful yet only a quick tube journey into central London. Thank you John and Cathy we hope to return in 2018! Thanks for everything!
My sister and nieces live in North West London and we needed somewhere within striking distance of all three of them. This location was ideal. We rented a car--and in contrast to other London stays where parking was an ordeal, here: no restrictions!
But, more importantly, the accommodations were perfect!! Two bedrooms upstairs, which allowed us to bring our grown son; living room/kitchen/glorious skylit dining room downstairs, with charming outdoor space. Not gigantic--it's a cottage--but just right for us.
Our hosts, Kathy and John Wade, could not have been more helpful, tactful, charming. We had some difficult family business to tend to and they both looked out for us and left us alone. They live next door and were available if we needed anything (which we didn't--everything was provided, including a beautiful cake baked for the occasion!).
I am reluctant to praise this too highly, for fear that they will be booked up for ever. And we have every intention of returning!
Beautiful home, very convenient for travelling into central London
We had a lovely couple of nights stay in this immaculate home in Muswell Hill. Very convenient for travelling into the city centre and to The Harry Potter studios, very well served by public transport but also a really lovely area for shops/cafes.
Was very nice to meet Kathy, who showed us around and who replied to our booking enquiries quickly and succinctly. A pleasure to deal with from start to finish, would highly recommend this property.
It was a real pleasure hosting Paul, Kirsty and family. A lovely family from Edinburgh who came to visit the nearby Harry Potter studios and the London Eye. They were considerate guests while here and left the cottage in immaculate condition. Fantastic guests, I would thoroughly recommend them to all hosts. We would love to host them again, on their next visit to London.
Best wishes, Kathy and John
