If you’re looking for a stylish, contemporary villa straight out of a Interiors magazine, you’ve found it in Casa Encantada. Just a five-minute stroll to the heart of Mijas Pueblo (Andalusia's most loved white village) its location is truly unique amongst large villas.

Enjoy a luxury holiday where a car is merely an optional extra rather than an absolute necessity (bear in mind that a night out from a house of this size would require as many as four designated drivers). Instead, simply take a short walk to the many vibrant bars and restaurants that this lively village has to offer.

Of course, if you want to go further afield, Marbella and Puerto Banus are less than half an hour away and Fuengirola is just ten minutes down the road.

In addition to great entertainment, and amazing south-facing views all the way to Gibraltar and the Atlas Mountains of North Africa, Mijas Pueblo also caters for the everyday necessities. It has several supermarkets. The closest, Dia, is just a four-minute walk away, while Euroski is open on a Sunday, as is the BP station at the entrance to the village.

The villa has been recently refurbished and offers eight superb bedroom suites, each one with its own, beautifully appointed bathroom. The decor throughout is clean and modern, while retaining a relaxed, comfortable feel.

Upper floor - entrance level:

The villa is entered via a beautiful, private courtyard, where Bougainvillea climbs the walls and local plants and trees surround comfortable lounging and dining areas. This side of the villa sees the last sun of the day, making it the perfect place to enjoy a sundowner before strolling into the village for the evening.

Walking through the grand entrance, you are welcomed by a view that is simply jaw-dropping. The interior layout of the upper floor is open and uninterrupted, allowing you to look straight through the living area to the garden below and the glorious Mediterranean beyond.

The upstairs dining area can accommodate up to 16, with the three dining tables set up in a banqueting row.

The 65” LED TV has the full Sky package and is also connected to a DVD player and Apple TV, which allows you to stream music through the home cinema system.

The master bedroom suite has a king-size bed with built-in TV and enjoys stunning sea views. It offers a ‘Jack & Jill’ option to either share one large bathroom or, if the guest bedroom next door is unoccupied, a separate bathroom for each of the master suite occupants.

The two guest bedroom suites are roomy and have plenty of wardrobe space. Each looks into the beautiful courtyard outside and up to the mountains. Both have large shower rooms ensuite.

The spacious, open plan kitchen is equipped with a full-height fridge and freezer, twin fan ovens, a large ceramic hob, wide double sinks and dishwasher. Six metres of worktops should be enough to prepare even the most extravagant dinner party and a large island makes a perfect spot for smaller groups to congregate.

The adjoining utility room contains a washing machine and tumble dryer, microwave oven, large sink, second dishwasher and drinks fridge.

Overlooking the enticing pool and garden below is a large terrace with sun-loungers, coffee tables and chairs. Everything you need to enjoy that magnificent view.

Lower floor:

There are three stairways leading down to the lower level. One on either side of the villa and one from the main terrace.

On one side of the lower floor is a three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment and, on the other, a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment. Each one has its own comfortable living area - complete with Sky TV, DVD players and Apple TV - along with a well-equipped kitchen and direct access to the pool. Each apartment can be individually locked.

All bedrooms are spacious, and can be configured either as a super king or large twin, and each one has its own bathroom. There is one bath (with shower) in each apartment with the remaining bedrooms having large walk-in showers.

The garden is filled with fragrant White Jasmine, Bougainvillea and orange trees. At its centre is a large swimming pool which, thanks to a powerful solar panel system, incurs no additional heating charge. There are sufficient sun loungers and pool chairs to cater for everyone in your party.

For days where you don’t want to leave the villa, and dine al fresco instead, there is plentiful outdoor dining furniture and a large, six-burner barbeque. And we highly rate the Pollo Asado (spit-roast chicken) from La Fiesta, available for take-away at the top of the street.

Whether you’re a large family party in search of a destination both parents and kids will adore or a group of friends looking for an elegant holiday base where everyone has their own luxury suite and no one has to put up with ‘the short-straw room’, you’ve found it - right in the heart of one of the most beautiful pueblos in Spain.

Stunning property in an even more stunning location. We've no hesitation in recommending this villa.

We chose this villa for our holiday with extended family based on photographs, reviews and very positive and helpful communication with the owners. We were not at all disappointed. We wanted to be married in a beautiful location on the Costa del Sol near to areas we were familiar with, but our budget meant moving a little further out than Marbella. Mijas was new to us and we found out just a little bit about it before booking. However, we had no idea what a gem of a place this is until we were there. What a stunning town with plenty to see and do all in walking distance from Casa Encantada; gorgeous shops; good food; easy access to other places and not far from Malaga airport. This is an authentic picture postcard white Spanish town with flower pots filled with colour everywhere. The kids had a great time in particular making chocolate at the wonderful chocolate factory. Our additional wedding guests stayed at the Mijas hotel literally right behind the villa gates so it couldn't have been more convenient. The villa was beautiful, very comfortable and classy. We had all we needed and more (the kids loved the huge voice activated televisions!) Heather and Nigel, the owners, were very helpful prior to our stay so that we had discussed everything we needed to, particularly in organising elements of our small wedding which was held on the villa lawn. The villa was a stunning backdrop to our photos. The views to the mountains or the ocean from the balcony are amazing. The villa is very clean and modern and with super comfortable sofas, beds, and sun loungers. Every room has it's own beautiful en suite. We were welcomed with a bottle of Cava in each fridge too! Every one of the 16 members of the family, of different ages, who stayed at Casa Encantada end of May 2018, was more than happy with the accommodation and location and would love to return. We hope that we will get the chance to return again, next time just to relax and make the most of the gorgeous pool and garden to relax in without having to set up for a wedding! Our week went far too quickly. We are suffering withdrawl symptoms now and are missing our magical Mijas temporary home! Thank you for the ease of everything and the memories we were able to create by being so happy there.

Absolutely fabulous

The villa was perfect for our large family group ranging in age from 1- 91yrs old. We thought it was extremely well appointed with everything we wanted provided.

The swimming pool was larger than we expected and provided a great focus during the day. We felt so relaxed that we cancelled some planned activities and stayed at the villa instead.

The villa is situated near the centre of Mijas so the shops, bars, restaurants and other activities were all in easy reach.

Overall we were very pleased with our choice and we think we would struggle to find anywhere else more suitable for a family holiday.

Excellent villa

The villa surpassed our expectations. Had a wonderful time and would thoroughly recommend it. Mijas Pueblo is beautiful and so was the villa. Perfect for large family holiday with everyone having their own space but being able to be together.

This is a wonderful villa - very private, secluded and yet you can walk into Mijas. The interior is beautifully finished - the upstairs view out from the lounge with the doors fully open is perfect. A great spot for any holiday.
