About this property

St Hilary's House, Little Walsingham, Norfolk

St Hilary's House is a welcoming home, perfectly set up for multi-generational families. There's room for everyone to have their own space, as well as gather together for meals and big occasions.

Bright and spacious, with a clever mix of modern and traditional décor, St Hilary's House has a snug and a family room as well as a sitting room, allowing all ages to do their own thing and get together when appropriate. With a Smart television with Blue-ray DVD, there's also table football, a mini grand piano, a vinyl record player, plenty of books and games, a card table and a TV-free sitting room - ideal for all ages and interests. The kitchen has a double range oven, a useful pantry and all the white goods you could need for a big family get-together. Plus there's a handy boot room, ground floor wet room and cloakroom for when you return from the beach or muddy walks.

Upstairs is no less impressive. Five bedrooms, four of which are en-suite, offer a selection of super-king, king and twin rooms, making it perfect for larger groups and families. There's a travel cot available for the youngest of guests.

A large pretty enclosed garden wraps around the detached house, with patio, barbecue and garden furniture, as well as ample parking in the driveway. Even the family dog is welcome, and will enjoy the secluded garden.

Situated on the edge of the popular village of Little Walsingham, you can catch the narrow-gauge steam train to the seaside town of Wells. In fact the train runs by the bottom of St Hilary's House garden, prompting some guests to say they feel like The Railway Children as the train toots when it passes!

A short walk to the excellent village farm shop as well as two local pubs and all the village interest, St Hilary's House is also just a short drive or bus ride to the coast, making it a wonderful destination any time of year, as many returning families will testify.

Lovely house
The house was very clean, spacious and equipped with just about everything you could possibly want for your stay. It was really good to have a large selection of crockery and cutlery so that the dishwasher did not have to be put on in time for the next meal. In addition the garden was large and well maintained. Fortunately we had good weather so did not need to utilise all the indoor games etc that were available.

A perfect stay for 10
We stayed at St Hilary’s, 5 adults and 5 children. The house is beautifully decorated and everything you need is there. Great location for walking and near to local pubs, shop and farm shop. The house is very spacious and the children loved playing hide and seek. The gardens are lovely but as it was winter we didn’t get to make the most of the garden. Would highly recommend staying here and can’t wait to return

A Lovely Family Holiday
We had a great time staying in St Hilary's House. Everything was as expected and requested for our family of 10. The house had everything we needed and we were very comfortable. We had a minor issue with the downstairs toilet which was immediately seen to through the office in Wells. The bonus for us was the grand piano in the games room (as we called it). Most of us are musicians, which gave us a special treat. My son (check out "Young Elton" tribute on Facebook) was able to rehearse before his gig on the Saturday we left. If you want a lovely house and in the warmer months a beautiful garden for that al fresco touch, get yourselves to St. Hilary's House in the wonderful historic village of Little Walsingham,

Christmas 2019
Spent a wonderful week in this fabulous house with my husband, daughters, partners and grandchildren. House is very roomy and the children had enough space of their own to play with newly acquired toys. Lovely that there is no tv in main lounge. Beds are comfortable, everyone has their own en-suite which is a luxury. Love the huge pantry, wonderful for storing all the festive food, every house needs one of these! Setting is fabulous, previously stayed at this house in summer and the large garden was a delight. The Wells to Walsingham railway runs in a cutting at the top of the garden, you feel like the Railway children when it passes!! Can’t really find anything negative to say about this house, had a fabulous time and hope one day to return.
