We love to share our little cabin in the woods. It's a perfect place to clear your head of all things "city". We live in Colbert, about 30 minutes away. We'd be happy to tell you more about it. Feel free to give us a call to see if it is what you are looking for. David or April 509-953-6385
The cabin sits high up on the mountian with an amazing view and fantastic sunsets. It was very peaceful, secluded and private, just what my wife and I were looking for. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place! David the owner was an awesome person and truly a pleasure to meet and talk with. We highly recommend staying here, especially if you looking to get away from it all.
My husband and I stayed at this cabin over the 4th of July weekend. It was absolutely amazing! The cabin is small and although has no running water it never felt like we were missing a thing. We used the grill, the owners left us, to cook our food. It was in the 80s the whole weekend so we had a warm shower bag to wash with. And the bed was very comfortable! Not too mention it has one of the cleanest outdoor toilets I've ever seen. This is a great spot to come clear your head and just relax. And there are absolutely NO neighbors around you. We loved it so much we are already planning our next trip back.
If you think it's impossible to have a comfortable stay without running water, think again. The hosts of this property bend over backward to make sure you're VERY comfortable. If it's Seclusion you want, this is the perfect spot for it. I left my curtains open every night and felt perfectly safe.
Amazing sunsets. Quaint and comfortable cabin. Abundant wildlife. Friendly, helpful hosts. The cabin is situated on a pine-studded knoll with a gorgeous view of the Huckleberry Mountains and the valley below. The quiet and solitude of this beautiful property has become an annual antidote for my stressful urban existence. Fantastic setting for a quiet retreat.
My husband & I enjoyed 2 nights in this cute little mountain cabin. It is surrounded by pine trees, and in May there were daisy-like wildflowers blooming everywhere. We loved relaxing on the deck, sipping our coffee and taking in the beautiful view overlooking a wooded valley with blue hills in the background. The sunsets were lovely! The cute rustic outhouse is close to the cabin and clean. While enjoying the seclusion of the cabin, I also liked the fact that there were two locked gates on the road up, which gave me a comforting sense of safety. It was a wonderful place to get away, enjoy some peaceful solitude, and get recharged. My husband refers to it as a place of ultimate peace and quiet. He was able to return in April of 2015 for another brief stay, and we both hope to return again in the future.
