About the property

Fabulous & spacious penthouse apartment in the heart of Brighton's Lanes

This stunning open plan apartment is on the 2nd floor of our Grade 2 listed Victorian building on Ship Street. The entrance leads into a small lobby with storage cupboard, a door to the shower room and leads into the double aspect studio room which - at 6 meters by 4 meters - is large enough to have clearly defined areas for living, eating and sleeping. (Please note from September 2018 Studio 3 will no longer be available for short lets.)

Living & dining area: Large bay window with lovely white wood venetian blinds and also black out curtains featuring dining table & four chairs, large chocolate brown leather corner sofa (which quickly converts into a comfy double bed) and a large flat screen TV with up to 60 Freeview channels plus DVD player. There’s also a good size desk with iPod dock.

Kitchen: The sleek, modern white gloss kitchen features LED lighting and purple splash backs with integrated fridge, integrated washer/dryer, electric hob, combination microwave oven, toaster, kettle, Tassimo coffee machine & even a dishwasher. We’ve also supplied enough crockery, cutlery and glassware for 6 people as well as a good selection of saucepans and cooking utensils. You also get washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and fresh dish clothes and tea towels.

Bedroom Area: Brand new king size bed, hotel-quality bedding and loads of storage with two sets of drawers and a fitted wardrobe. Two large west facing, double glazed windows offer stunning roof top views towards the Brighton Eye and are fitted with blackout blinds fro ensure a good night’s sleep.

Shower Room: Contemporary shower room with large shower cubicle, wash hand basin and WC. Complimentary Duck Island hand soap and shower gel are also provided along with one bath towel per guest.

Other things to note

(1) STREET NOISE AT WEEKENDS: If you’re looking for total peace and quiet, please be aware that we are right in the centre of Brighton’s Old Town and it can get quiet noisy out on the streets around our building throughout Friday and Saturday nights. All of this is beyond our control - however, our prices do reflect this fact as similar apartments in Brighton rent for over £100/night. That said, the flat has double glazing by the bed and we even provide ear plugs for the really light sleepers. In reality, you are far more likely to be disturbed by Brighton’s seagull population who never seem to sleep!

(2) HOME SAFETY: We are professional landlords and as such you can be assured that the whole building (containing five apartments all of which we own) meets all current safety standards including annual gas safety tests. The building is also protected by a modern, fully maintained fire detection system with smoke and heat detectors in each apartment connected to a control panel in the communal hallway. The system is tested every Thursday morning by our contractors at Brighton Fire Alarms.

A perfect place

Brighton Lanes apartment is a lovely place, where the whole family can feel comfortable. I really appreciated the fact that everything was arranged just as it was said in the brochure and the place was just like in the pictures, so no sad surprises. We really appreciated the fact, it is just one minute walk to the beach, having kids with you it's really helpful. The place was clean, and inviting. I highly recommend this place.

Very Cozy Top Floor!

It's my third time staying at the Brighton Lanes Apartments, and this time I chose to stay in Studio 3 at the very top of the building, and I loved it! I had a view of Ship Street down below and could see the seafront from the window in dining area. The apartments are all very nicely furnished, very comfortable and clean, and I always enjoy my stay; I'd like to now consider myself a regular 😉 and will be back soon as I'm able! Cheers!

PARKING: Parking is very expensive across the whole city so we recommend coming down to Brighton by train or coach. Brighton Station is just 10/15 minutes walk away or a couple of minutes (and about £6) by taxi. The nearest secure carpark to us is The Lanes carpark on Black Lion Street BN1 1ND where it costs £25 for 24 hours. The best & cheapest option is to pre-book your parking in advance with Regency Secure Parking on Regency Mews, BN1 2HF which is only 10 mins walk (or 1/2 a mile) from us. 24 hours parking here costs £14 and a whole week is just £83. Search http://www.regencysecureparking.co.uk where you can book online. More public carpark information is available on Brighton & Hove City Council’s website in their parking section (www.brighton-hove.gov.uk). Also try Googling Parkopedia’s website as it offers special deals on parking across Brighton & Hove including the odd private space for hire (www.en.parkopedia.co.uk).
